2. Hes the former Prime Minister of Pakistan.
3. He has won a cricket world cup for Pakistan.
4. He has built two worldclass universities and three hospitals for Pakistan.
5. He was probably the only ELECTED PM of Pakistan through pure Public Mandate in the 78 years of country's history.
6. He was forcibly dethroned from his office through a foreign conspiracy.
7. He has been blackmailed through over 300 bogus FIRs against him, his wife, his family and party members.
8. There was an assassination attempt against him on November 3rd, 2022. Which he luckily survived but got injured in.
9. There are over 20 thousand bogus cases against his party leadership and workers.
10. His party leadership and workers have been wrongly sentenced to over 5000 years of inprisonment.
11. More than 20,000 of his party workers have been inprisoned over the period of last 4 years.
12. More than 50 of his workers havr been assassinated in the last four years.
13. Dozens of his workers have been gravely injured in the last four years. Many of them will never live a normal life again.
14. Hundreds of houses of his party leadership and workers have been raided at nights, vandalized, bulldozed and the children and women of the house harrassed.
15. Businesses of dozens of his close friends in party and his workers have been forcibly closed down, properties, marriage marques, petrol pumps, farm houses and buildings demolished.
16. Hundreds of women from his party dragged on roads, beaten, injured and put behind bars for months and over in the last four years.
17. His house in Zaman Park was attacked. His property vandalized, looted, hundreds of workers injured and arrested who were unarmed and only trying to protect their leader.
18. His workers, leadership and his neephew faced military trial, which is banned for civilians through international laws.
19. His sisters arrested multiple times, batton charged, faced shelling and water cannon, bruised and injured, dragged on roads over a dozen times.
20. His wife arrested multiple times which in total excedes period of over two years, held in solitary confinement, rumored to have lost one eye and facing extreme health conditions; just in order to blackmail the husband into surrender.
21. Hes been in prison for over 3 years now, without a single crime and just to force him for political surrender.
22. Hes been in solitary confinement for over 10 months, which is a crime world over. A torture humanly impossible to bear.
23. Hes rumored to have lost an eye and the 2nd one in jeopridy. It is said he has had high blood pressure issues and still being denied access to his doctors for last whole year.
24. Hes been disallowed to speak to his sons for over 4 months on the phone, a facility every prisoner avails twice a week.
25. They dont even allow him books to read, tv to watch or newspapers to read. Hes facing 23 hours locked in a 8×6 cell everyday and not a soul, not even the prison police are allowed to talk to him.
26. There was a cat that got its way to his cell, even that was removed.

Prime Minister @andyburnham and Foreign Secretary @Ed_Miliband : how much longer will Britain remain silent?

For three years the father of my two sons, and Pakistan’s former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, has been brutally penalised by his political opponents, in a personal vendetta by Army Chief, Asim Munir,  which according to the UN,  amounts to torture and which  is now taking a potentially fatal toll on his physical and mental health. 

He has endured 3 years of solitary confinement. For nearly ten months now his family has been denied contact with him. He has been deprived of the most basic human contact, denied access to books, lawyers and doctors.

The international human-rights standards are unequivocal. Under the UN’s Nelson Mandela Rules, solitary confinement lasting more than 15 consecutive days is prohibited and amounts to torture.

He has endured this treatment not for 15 days, but for three years.

Pakistan’s own Supreme Court has now intervened: ordering comprehensive  medical treatment, access to his personal doctor, regular family visits and twice-weekly calls with his sons.

Yet those orders are being defied.

This is no longer simply a Pakistani political matter. It is a human-rights emergency.

He has deep and lifelong ties to Britain. He studied at Oxford University, captained Oxford University cricket and spent years playing county cricket in England. His relationship with this country stretches back more than half a century. His charitable activities were internationally recognised, and  include building the only free cancer hospital in Pakistan as well as a university.

His sons, my two boys, Sulaiman and Kasim, are British citizens. They have been forced to watch their father’s health decline from thousands of miles away, prevented from visiting him, denied visas, publicly threatened by government officials with arrest themselves, and even denied court-mandated regular phone calls. 

I have repeatedly appealed to the UK government to intervene. Purported attempts at back channelling have evidently failed. The previous Foreign Secretary @DavidLammy informed me in writing that Britain would not  intervene if my sons, British citizens, are arrested when they travel to Pakistan to visit their father. 

@FCDOGovUK: Britain must now speak out publicly and unequivocally. Demand that Pakistan comply with its own Supreme Court;  restore Imran Khan’s medical access, his right to see his family, end his prolonged isolation and uphold his fundamental human rights.

Pakistan is a Commonwealth country. Britain has a long and proud tradition of standing against arbitrary detention, inhumane treatment and the denial of fundamental rights. Those principles mean very little if we invoke them only selectively and neglect them when inconvenient.
This an appeal to the new Burnham government  to please now do the right thing.

فروری ۲۰۲۶ سے ہمیں خان صاحب کے علاج کے حوالے سے ایسی ہی صورتحال اور عاصم منیر کے ناجائز تسلط کے ماتحت حکومتی اہلکاروں کی جانب سے ایسے ہی دھوکے کا سامنا ہے۔ کبھی الزام سوشل میڈیا پر دھر دیاجاتا ہے تو کبھی خاندان پر۔ اس مرتبہ جس ڈھٹائ سے سپریم کورٹ کی واضح ہدایات کو روندا گیا ہے بہت واضح ہے کہ بین الاقوامی اسٹیبلشمنٹ (کہ جن کو عمران خان نہ کل منظور تھا نہ آج ان کے پلانز میں فٹ بیٹھتا ہے) کے آلہ ��ار عاصم منیر اور حواریوں کے عزائم صرف عمران خان پر دباؤ ڈال کر اپنی انا کی تسکین اور اپنے ناجائز تسلط ک�� طوالت کے نہیں بلکہ ان کو خدانخواستہ راستے سے ہٹانے کے ہیں۔
عرصہ سے خان صاحب کی اپنی ہدایات ہیں، جو بارہا دہرائی جاچکی ہیں کہ اراکین اور پارٹی قیادت کی جانب سے سپریم کورٹ کے باہر دھرنا دیا جائے تب تک جب تک ان کے کیسز کی سنوائی نہیں ہوجاتی اور انہیں ان کے معالجین تک رسائ اور علاج کی مناسب سہولیات نہیں مہیا کی جاتیں۔ ہمیں فوری طور پر سپریم کورٹ کے باہر دھرنا دے کر اس بات پر زور دینا چاہئے کہ کورٹ اپنے احکامات منوائے اور ساتھ ساتھ فارم ۴۷ کی اس ناجائز حکومت کے خلاف توہین عدالت کی کاروائ عمل میں لائی جائے۔
عسکری ترامیم کے زریعے عدلیہ کا چہرہ مسخ اور آئین پامال کر دیا ��یا لیکن اس کے باجود ہم خان صاحب کے حکم پر انہی عدالتوں سے انصاف مانگ رہے ہیں پھر بھی اگر اتنا عرصہ گزرنے کے بعد کیسسز کی سنوائی تک نہ ہوسکی اور اب باوجودعدالتی آرڈر کے علاج جیسی بنیادی سہولت بھی نہیں دی جاسکتی اور عدالت اس معاملے میں مکمل طور پر اپنی بے بسی ظاہر کرتی ہے تو یہ آخری نقاب بھی اٹھ جائے تاکہ پھر فیصلےعوامی عدالت میں ہوں اور انہی سڑکوں پر ہوں۔
