@CodesXBT@cryptogenerian These are all things anyone can do. The core team really does not yield much power to make these happen other than being able to share their knowledge.
$KAS this vulnerability shows the importance of passphrases. Having a passphrase protects you from this potential vulnerability that can be in any wallet.
BITCOIN CORE DEVELOPER: “SORRY, THIS IS THE TIME TO PANIC” OVER COLDCARD MK2/MK3 VULNERABILITY
Bitcoin Core developer instagibbs says he successfully reproduced the reported COLDCARD vulnerability on a freshly initialized MK3 device using only the number of button presses made during setup, adding: “Sorry, this is the time to panic.”
He believes the issue affects MK2/MK3 devices but says he cannot yet confirm whether MK4 is vulnerable.
Developer Antoine Poinsot says the key difference is that the MK4 seeds entropy with hardware random number generators and actually uses the microcontroller’s true random number generator (TRNG), while the MK3 does not.
The proof-of-concept and mnemonic verification remain under review.
@ProtocolAu24363@cryptogenerian@mrbvdon i dont disagree with you. Hence why i gave solutions to the dilemma. But decentralization does breed chaos whether you want it to or not.
well seedless means you do not have a seed phrase set of 12 or 24 words at all. You just have a private key. No set of words could ever grant you that private key. Then you are just reliant on the RNG of the private key generator. Guessing a private key is really hard though cause its an entire string of random letters and numbers.
From my understanding trade off is you are using a multisig in which one of the private keys the company owns. All 3 private keys that get generated are with their own RNG.
I think KaChat will be a fresh of breath air for Kaspa. Its a practical way where you and anyone can get to using Kaspa every single day in your life. Would love to have direct communication with you so I can ensure the app gets tested well and can get all the features we think it needs to make it THE kaspa app everyone starts with.
I totally think it can. I also think we are worried about it way too soon we have much time.
If the price appreciates it only gives us even more time. Right now is not the time to worry about it. Right now is the time to build things that makes you use your Kaspa daily?
Have you tried @KaChat_ yet? Would love to keep our convo going on the blockdag itself encrypted and censorship resistant! Just download it and dm me kaspasilver.kas :)
@thekaspaonion@brt2412 does sound complicated. Contribute your ideas to @KasSigner ! Gotta remember that we need to make things user friendly as possible!
Are we really decentralized if a figure head ends up defining it?
Kaspa to me is simply peer to peer digital money that allows you to move or store value and communications at the speed of the internet with maximum amount of decentralization and censorship resistance.
Share what you think.
@michaelsuttonil just did a coding lesson. @hashdag is a researcher does not code. I am just being honest here when Yonatan speaks a lot of his thoughts aren't suited for the common audience in crypto. That is ok though he specializes more in a educational approach and not everyone wants that style. But @hashdag did just do a speach a few months ago. You can only say the same things so many times no? The vision hasn't been changing of whats to come for Kaspa.
@Kaspa_HypeMan just came on my channel last month and talked.
The fee revision was simply a mempool policy change and not a long term guaranteed solution for increasing fee revenue. I discussed this extensively on my channel and @michaelsuttonil talked about it on X as well.
I think the disconnect is wanting a centralize source for all Kaspa info. Here are your options for that.
1. Help manage @kaspaunchained account but you must follow the rules of that account and what can be posted on it cause the account is centralized not a community account.
2. Get with @Kaspa_Commons and let him know things you think are missing to be posted on there and push this account since this account follows the style of what @kaspaunchained used to be.
3. Start providing information yourself you think is missing/directly reach out to @michaelsuttonil@hashdag etc... to call for them to specifically give whatever information you feel we don't have. They will listen if its a genuine request.
All I want to do is help and hopefully fix any disconnect you think there is but just making complaining posts constantly doesn't help.
I think the failure of communication was making it seem an account had proper authority to speak for Kaspa when in reality it should of been viewed just like any other account on X. The last thing we need in Kaspa are figure heads that people look up to as their only source of truth. Decentralize our figure heads. Always do your own research. Promote things you think will help Kaspa and do your part. Complaining about things never solves anything. Decentralization allows you to take action.

One of the only people that never received a dime from coldcard. Plus a few weeks ago stated he was moving away from it entirely before the vulnerability ever happened. (Matthew has me blocked) but if you think saylor is ok for Bitcoin its similar to being ok with coldcard still.
KaChat lets me use my Kaspa every day. This is why I am focusing on it cause its the most practical way for anyone even a noob to onboard to Kaspa and start using it daily. Find a friend or family member onboard them to the app and start communicating or playing chess if you know how that way. Every interaction is a transaction on the network. Small fee pays miners.
