I'm optimistic we'll see a future like this for humanity

✧ abundance (limitless energy, mastery over atoms)
✧ freedom (no financial slavery)
✧ defeat death (life without disease or aging)
✧ new physics (beyond Einstein’s speed limit, out into the universe)

Read Iain M. Banks’ Culture novels and watch Star Trek for inspiration.

we can build these technologies:

✧ replicators
✧drug glands
✧ holodecks
✧ warp engines
✧ orbitals & Dyson spheres

and somewhere among the stars,
we dance to celebrate the universe.
bless

Done right, it’s also room for a different kind of business model, where the makers themselves are part of what’s being felt.

We talk a lot about UBI/UHI, but I think everyone on earth also needs Universal Basic AI. An agent that grows & learns with you. Giving everyone equal access to intelligence for free or at a very low cost.

Human virtues are trending again as AI rises

[Bryan Johnson @bryan_johnson]

Kindness is peak human performance and high status.

Kindness requires metabolic abundance: the capacity to override primal impulses, regulate emotions, and extend empathy.

Meanness is dirty energy: high cortisol, inflammation and an exhausted executive function.
