As a chronically ill person I have to protect my baseline. No one else will. And most people don’t get it. If you see chronically ill people resting or not pushing it, it’s probably for a reason. We know the consequences of pushing too hard. Best case scenario is usually a flare and worst case scenario can be a temporarily or permanently worsened baseline. Which is also why we try to avoid getting sick. That can do the same thing.
