@mauldin_laura Started my semester today and decided to do my classes over Zoom, that way I can mimic in some way what we would have done in person (also hi! I was also at Bread Loaf and got Covid, but don’t think we met. Hope you feel better soon. My headache is persistent 😵💫)
Absolutely thrilled for my short story “The Travelers” to appear in Qu Literary Magazine! I wrote this story while getting my MFA and I’m so excited it finally has a home. Thank you Qu for publishing my work!
#NewIssue alert! Our Winter 2023 issue is now available at https://t.co/zBJfGyiB7T (Cover Art by Kenny Nguyen). You can also purchase a hard copy from our friends at @ParkRoadBooks via this link: https://t.co/GyHrhEOKDk
Thrilled for my story “Motherhood” to appear in Miracle Monocle! In this piece, I tried to capture the strangeness of new motherhood, specifically the process of adjusting to motherhood and making space for it in one’s life. I hope you enjoy reading and thank you Miracle Monocle!
Absolutely thrilled that my story “Burning” is included in the current issue of @RaleighReview! The story features a character getting spooked by something she sees in the woods and also a pumpkin carving scene, so it’s perfect timing to read on Halloween!
“Later, much later, she would ponder the similarities between a smile and a grimace, how it was sometimes hard to tell one from the other.” || Katherine Joshi, forthcoming 🔥
Wait. They want us to focus on the school door being unlocked?
So let me get this straight: They say it should have been much harder to enter the building, but won’t make it harder to buy the AR-15 he used to kill 19 kids and two teachers?
Do you hear how insane that sounds?!
My baby is in third grade. She lugs a binder of Pokemon cards to school to swap them on the playground at recess. Her socks are always mismatched & she wears a dinosaur hoodie. She's just started making her own lunches for school every morning (she's very proud),
