Here's one of Michael Crichton's very finest quotes, especially applicable to climate "science":
"I want to pause here and talk about this notion of consensus, and the rise of what has been called consensus science.
I regard consensus science as an extremely pernicious development that ought to be stopped cold in its tracks. Historically, the claim of consensus has been the first refuge of scoundrels; it is a way to avoid debate by claiming that the matter is already settled.
Whenever you hear the consensus of scientists agrees on something or other, reach for your wallet, because you’re being had.
Let’s be clear: the work of science has nothing whatever to do with consensus. Consensus is the business of politics. Science, on the contrary, requires only one investigator who happens to be right ... In science, consensus is irrelevant."
Best to everyone,

@akafaceUS I’m from Texas and that is a pond. I saw another comment from TX that called it a “tank”— I never heard it called that by anyone I am personally acquainted with, but I have seen/heard that here and there. I’d call a fabricated metal/plastic water container a “tank.”
@Matt_Pinner Nothing against Taylor Swift..she is very talented and I wouldn’t pass up free tickets. But you did ask the question so to choose something I’d rather watch, it would have to be The Chosen. It connects with my heart in a million ways. Check it out!
@TimTebow I have lived by this through thick & thin for years. 3 days ago my son sustained a severe head trauma. Suddenly it’s very hard to be ok with the worst case scenario. I am struggling this time, but not giving up on being able to say “Thy will be done”.
@Sadie_NC Dolly is singing the song like a woman in love…sweet, simple, honest. Whitney is singing it like a performer on stage..astoundingly strong and powerful. I guess it depends on whether you’re the lucky guy she’s singing to or a person who bought a ticket. They’re both awesome.
