I go in. I buy a ticket a Diet Coke (or glass of wine depending) & a Kit Kat the size of my head. I watch the movie then walk/ride home thinking about it. I log it on Letterboxd, tell my husband about it/text my mom if she should see it
It’s my favorite way to spend an afternoon
He does the magic trick that only the best Shakespearean actors do - makes the poetry seem like natural language, like it’s just the way he wanted to say something. Amazing.
(More of you need to see his Macbeth from a few years ago with Frances Macdormand!)
What makes me sad is the fact that their objection to sex in film is that it’s “not needed for the plot” sometimes it is/sometimes it isn’t, but more importantly - art should have things beyond plot! Movies are meant to make you feel things!
Teens want less sex in movies and TV, a new study finds.

- call me an idiot American who bastardized their language (less fun)
- tell me the nicknames they have for their mothers (fun!)
my weirdest pet peeve is that British people just write Mom as “Mum” when subtitling Americans. It’s not just a different pronunciation! We use different terms of endearment for our mothers! If I was subtitling a Brit I would always write Mum never just assume they are saying Mom
