Unfortunately I injured my back, so I had to change plans. For today, I had to instruct her verbally rather than visually on how to go about choreographing. It gave me a chance to focus on the questions she asked using concept-verb-concept @YEPeducation #letsteachadults

@teachingtech_ These are great questions to ask considering that she is starting to get used to using the laptop. As we are more used to using computers, we tend to overlook the things that we are used to seeing, like what Celine said, but for them, it might be very new!

Early today, we learned new school grooves (specifically walk-it-out, wu tang, and the dougie)! I gave her the option to do a create-your-own-choreo lesson or learn tik-tok dances! She chose the first so we will focus on that tomorrow! @YEPeducation #LetsTeachAdults

@jeffpalumbo3 @YEPeducation Growing up, I wish I was taught how to use Excel, so it's amazing that you are teaching your learner this! It's a great segway to personal finance, which is something a lot of people struggle with!

Wednesday, I started teaching middle school groove combos to my learner! She found the combos before easy so I stepped it up a notch and challenged her by adding more complicated footwork! It's the James Brown, for reference! @YEPeducation #letsteachadults

A takeaway from the self reflection is that she, now, is finding the learning in making mistakes!

Side note: Since my learner was sick last week, we will be having another session tomorrow!

For today, I had my learner do a self-evaluation! In reflecting, she realized that the amount of time and energy she has has been shifted due to work, thus not being able to practice as often as she wants! @YEPeducation #Letsteachadults

@NonnoRusso Great job in figuring out what works and what doesn't work and using that to adapt your lessons further on! We are always learning so it's nice that both you and your learner are learning together now!
