Like Jace Billingsley, a 14-year-old eighth-grade student at Buffalo Creek Middle School. He has been recognized for his outstanding achievement in developing a software application to support his Ukrainian classmates.

Billingsley observed that some students from Ukraine were encountering difficulties in comprehending their class assignments, and he was eager to lend a helping hand.

He remarked, "If I were in a foreign land, without any acquaintances, and unfamiliar with the language, I would have a tough time, and I would want someone to lend a helping hand. That's how I felt for these students, and I wanted to be of assistance."

Billingsley's app, called "Class Translate," is intended to aid foreign students in translating their lessons from English into their mother tongue. Unlike other translation applications, "Class Translate" is intended for use in the classroom and is available in several languages. Furthermore, the app authenticates the accuracy of the translations.

This young genius said he doesn't use his skills to make games because he likes making apps that help others.

In fact, his previous award-winning app was "Code Blue," a tool for healthcare staff to use in "the resuscitation of patients that have undergone cardiac arrest or respiratory failure."

We often underestimate the potential of our youth. They can accomplish incredible feats when they have access to resources, the guidance of supportive adults, and well-equipped schools.
