@piersmorgan Hi Piers, msk specialist here. First of all accidents do happen, and you have recovered wonderfully 👌 walk and work on core strength and glutes, remember they had to cut big muscles to get to your hip. Happy new year, I wish a speedy recovery which you are doing 🙏
I'm going to show folks. 2 weeks ago today, I was in ICU with a collapsed lung and multi-organ failure. Life-saving expertise, care and support from so many talented people means that today, I'm walking around my local ponds with a chest drain and feeding tube - managed to do 2.5 miles so I'm happy with that. Yes, there are plenty of challenges ahead, loads, in fact, but I owe it to my lifesavers to get back on my feet. My family need me and I need them.
Someone said: Normalize celebrating this:
– a roof over your head
– a warm shower
– having clean water
– a day without pain
– moments of gratitude
These are blessings too.

Charlotte’s Brain Tumour Journey
18.2.1997 – 24.2.2016
Diagnosis to death: 951 days
I was awake early this morning and so was Charlotte, with a massive headache. She took two paracetamol and went back to sleep, feeling a little better by 9.00 am.
She’s stressed and scared. One of the local nurses also rang King’s to report that Charlotte’s headaches are becoming more frequent.
By the afternoon, Charlotte admitted these weren’t the kind of headaches that ease with paracetamol. We travelled to The Marsden for 1.50 pm to see her consultant. It helped to sit with him and talk things through, but the news was hard: her symptoms are due to tumour growth.
Charlotte has been put back on 4 mg dexamethasone daily to reduce inflammation. This has upset her deeply; she knows the weight gain will be imminent, and that’s hard for her to bear.
Little did we know, this was only the beginning. Glioblastoma had so much more to take from Charlotte. A relentless disease that robs so many, yet receives so little funding.
Together, we can change that. Please RT with thanks

Classic sign it's not "Rotator Cuff" but more likely Cervical Spine Referred Pain:
Fine during stuff (walking, tennis)
"Toothache" type pain after stuff.
Doesn't like sitting still doing stuff (reading, computer use, craft etc).
Just because it hurts near the shoulder ≠ GHJ.
