I am guilty, #Mets fans.

Guilty for believing that David Stearns was the right person for this job.

Guilty for believing that, despite the enormously unpopular fan outrage, the revamped roster was good enough to win the NL East.

I have no idea how this season will eventually turn out, but as we stand here on May 26, the outlook is bleak.

Imagine if @StevenACohen2 had purchased a priceless piece of art, only to discover it was a fake. He would immediately seek retribution.

That's what has happened here.

The #Mets need an organizational purge; it's as simple as that.

There's really only one person who can save the #Mets.

Make him an offer he can't refuse. Otherwise, this franchise is doomed.

You let the nerd from Manhattan tear apart the true heart and soul of the team. You let a guy that wanted to be a Met for life, and played all 162 games walk away without even an offer. You replaced him with 2, 3rd basemen and a 2cd baseman. Signed a shortstop to play third. Trade Nimmo who also wanted to be a Met for life, who showed fire and leadership on a daily basis. Another was McNeil, who is still an above average hitter if he plays consistently and doesn't play 7 different positions in a week. I listened to fans say we only got to the playoffs twice in 7 years with that group. Did anyone ever think that it was this group keeping the Mets above water? Certainly the remaining pieces left behind are shit, and okay like they don't want to be here. I'm a fan of over 50 years, you ruined the team when you got rid of the true Mets. Also, the true baseball mind knew we didn't need Soto. We all knew we could have used that money to upgrade 3rd base and an outfield slot, and use the rest for a top of the line starter. We were two games away from the Workd Series. Soto wasn't a need, and now the team absolutely sucks. A lifeless group with no identity going through the motions. 🤦🏼‍♂️
