Nollywood 🇳🇬 Actress Sonia Uche Embraces Islam.☪️🧕🥰♥️💞
Allahu Akbar!☝️
May Allahﷻ grant her steadfastness and make her a righteous, practising Muslim. Aameen 🤲
Welcome to peace and you have secured your eternity. We in awe of our brothers and sisters who Embrace Islam and have such a passion for the Deen.
Oh Allah, open the hearts and minds of all those who are lost and wandering in Disbelief.
Why did Allah ask Maryam (AS) to shake the palm tree?
She was in labor. Weak. In pain.
And palm trunks are solid like stone.
She couldn't possibly move it.
Yet Allah said:
"Shake towards you the trunk of the palm tree..."
Why ask the impossible?
Allah could have dropped the dates without effort.
No shaking.
No pain.
No movement.
But He didn't.
Because miracles don't cancel effort. They meet it.
Maryam's (AS) strength wasn't in moving the tree.
It was in not giving up the attempt.
The tree didn't respond to her power.
It responded to her obedience.
Sometimes Allah doesn't ask you to succeed.
He asks you to try.
Even when you feel weak.
Even when the task feels too big.
Because trying keeps your heart alive. And effort keeps your faith awake.
If Allah sent the dates without the shake...
She would have eaten.
But she wouldn't have grown.
So when you're tired and still asked to take one step... That step is the worship.
Not the result.
That's why Allah ties provision to movement.
Even when He alone creates the outcome.
Maryam A.S didn't shake the tree.
She shook herself out of despair.
And Allah sent the fruit.
Your job is not to make miracles.
It is to move even when you feel small.
Allah handles the falling dates.
May the Almighty accept our worship, supplication and good deeds. May He bestow His Mercy upon us all. May He protect our brothers and sisters facing oppression the world over. May He put an end to their suffering. Aameen.
I have received, with a very heavy heart, albeit with total submission to the will of Allah, the news of the passing of the Chief Imam of Nghar Village in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, Sheikh Abdullahi Abubakar, who departed this world at the remarkable age of 92 after a brief illness.
Sheikh Abdullahi Abubakar was not just an ordinary Imam, but a moral compass, as well as a living embodiment of the true teachings of Islam. His heroic actions during the 2018 Barkin Ladi crisis, when he selflessly sheltered and saved the lives of more than 200 Christians in his own mosque at great personal risk, remain one of the most profound demonstrations of faith-driven courage and humanity in our contemporary history.
At a time when fear and violence threatened to consume reason, the late Imam chose compassion over hatred, and conscience over cowardice. His insistence that the sanctity of human life transcends religious and ethnic trajectories earned him global admiration and widespread eulogies across the world. In that defining moment, he reminded humanity that Islam stands firmly for the protection of life, justice, mercy, and peaceful coexistence.
What Sheikh Abdullahi Abubakar did at that time represented Islam in its purest form. The Qur’an teaches that saving one life is akin to saving all of humanity, and the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) consistently upheld the protection of non-Muslims, neighbours, and the vulnerable. The late Imam lived these teachings through his actions when he saved his neighbours who would otherwise have been nefariously slaughtered.
As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a legacy that will continue to inspire generations within and beyond Nigeria. History will remember Sheikh Abdullahi Abubakar as a global symbol of peace, interfaith harmony, and moral courage.
On behalf of myself and my family, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, relatives, loved ones, the people of Barkin Ladi, Plateau State, and indeed all Nigerians who were inspired by his life of service, humility, and uncommon bravery.
I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives his shortcomings, rewards his noble deeds abundantly, and grants him Aljannatul Firdaus. May Allah also grant his family and loved ones the strength and patience to bear this great loss.

NIGERIA UPDATE - “Tinubu’s Silent War on the Muslim North, Revisited: New Questions, Familiar Patterns — or More Unfortunate Coincidences?” - By Mohammed Bello Doka- January 17, 2026 - Part 1
I have been insulted, abused, threatened, and even warned of bodily harm and elimination. Some have openly called for my arrest and detention; others have gone as far as wishing me death. Yet I am left with no option but to do what many are too afraid to do: ask the difficult questions. If this burden has been placed on me, I will carry it until freedom or martyrdom—because silence, in moments like this, is complicity.
Most of the abuse followed a single article. That article asked one question—and instead of answers, it provoked rage. This is my response. And when examined closely, it reveals that there are now more questions than answers.
In my last article, I asked a direct question: Is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu waging a quiet war against the Muslim North, or are we merely witnessing a series of coincidences? The response avoided the question. Instead, there were insults, accusations of paranoia, and loud whataboutism.
This Was the Question Then. This Is the Question Now.
Why do power, protection, and proximity to the centre keep moving away from the same bloc?
Why do media accusations of terrorism financing and corruption repeatedly feature Northern Muslim powerbrokers?
Why are institutions, money, and regulatory authority consolidating in one direction, while exposure, insecurity, and political vulnerability concentrate in another?
If this is coincidence, it is an unusually consistent and stubborn one.
Power First: Who Lost What—and When?
The article details a series of political and institutional shifts, noting exits and replacements of major figures:
Abdullahi Umar Ganduje — Muslim, North — exited as APC National Chairman, replaced by Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda — Northern Christian.
The electoral nerve centre shifted from Mahmood Yakubu — Muslim, North — to Joash Amupitan — Northern Christian.
The Defence Ministry changed hands during a national security emergency; Mohammed Badaru Abubakar — Muslim, North — was replaced by a Northern Christian, General Christopher Musa.
Senate security oversight was reshuffled, removing a Muslim, Northern chair.
Elite discussion continues about replacing Vice President Kashim Shettima — Muslim, North — with a Northern Christian in 2027.
The article asks: How many such shifts, all pointing in the same direction, can reasonably be dismissed as random?
Then Exposure: Clear Media Accusations, No Closure
The article also highlights media accusations involving three Northern Muslim figures related to terrorism financing or corruption:
- Tukur Yusuf Buratai
- Faruk Yahaya
- Abubakar Malami, now under EFCC detention (not yet fully known).
The article notes these are accusations—not convictions—and points out that similar allegations are not publicly made against other regional or religious groups.
Beyond Party Lines: Everyone Is Now Expendable
The article claims the pattern of political displacement and legal/ media pressure extends across party lines and includes other Northern Muslim figures such as Nasir El-Rufai, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, and others, with investigations or suspicions lingering without judicial closure.
Institutions and Money: Where Power Now Lives
The article also discusses shifts in institutional and economic centres of power towards Lagos—such as headquarters relocations for agencies like FAAN, CBN departments, BOI, NPA, and NIMASA—suggesting this peripheralises regions in the North.
Insecurity and Electoral Weakening
I therefore juxtaposes institutional consolidation with ongoing insecurity in the North—banditry, displacement, and disruption of everyday life—posing the question whether the insecurity outcomes correlate with political weakening.

Christian Genocide: A Glance at Amupitan’s Legal Brief
Without attacking his person , the article revisits Prof. Amupitan’s 2020 legal brief on “Christian genocide” in Nigeria with fairness, evidence and context. It attempts to correct the serious inaccuracies that have misled a number of politicians and clerics overseas.
Prof. Amupitan’s brief was written for foreign advocacy groups, not Nigerians. Its tone reflects that audience. I identified in it 49 statements that are exaggerated, unsupported or historically inaccurate. Many of them unfairly demonise Hausa/Fulani Muslims and distort the realities of ethno-religious conflicts in the country.
Contrary to the brief, data shows that Muslims form the overwhelming majority of victims of Boko Haram and banditry. The brief also ignored decades of documented Christian massacres against Muslims in Plateau, Taraba and Southern Kaduna especially.
These and many others items are discussed in great depth. The 49 statements that I find spurious in the brief are also listed as appendix.
In addressing our sensitive national matters, we must tell the truth that will unite us and guarantee peace for all, not sectarian narratives that defy balance, fairness and evidence.

the plan was to Frame Muslims of committing the crime, so that innocent Muslims can be targeted & killed as usual.

I can’t say for the few states I haven’t visited in over two years, but I doubt there is any other state in this country where you can find something like this. This is the Herwa Electric Vehicle Mega Charging Station, one of three in Borno State. The facility can charge up to 20 vehicles simultaneously, powering the state’s fleet of electric taxis that charge just N100 per passenger to any destination within Maiduguri.
What is even more impressive is that all three charging stations are completely off-grid and solar-powered.
Governor Babagana Zulum 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Aliko Dangote is not an individual. He’s an institution. And he’s a leading light in Nigeria’s economic parliament. How we treat this gentleman will determine how outsiders will judge us.
– Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, at the 31st Nigerian Economic Summit, Abuja.
Nigerians who lost their jobs working for VOA have not gone down crying. They have organized themselves to create another world class broadcast outfit, Africa Radio International. This is the spirit. Now we should support them to show the true Nigerian spirit. We NEVER give up.
