The batting depth is too poor. To solve it you need Jadeja or Harbhajan ahead of Kumble

@HarshitFlickss We can blame luck but fact remains that as a youngster you get limited opportunities and you gotta perform in those chances. In 2009 Kohli was the top scorer in emerging players tournament and had a phenomenal domestic season. In comparison Pandey was patchy except an IPL hundred

@HarshitFlickss Manish Pandey and Virat Kohli were contemporaries - both were part of the 2007/8 U19 WC winning squad. It’s not like one of them had head start over other. Both played for the same IPL team during 2009-10. Yet Kohli sailed far ahead because he made better use of the opportunities

@faf1307 @RCBTweets @IPL I feel Romario Shepherd is an obvious weakness at the moment. His batting is barely used and his bowling is pedestrian. Instead RCB can include Venkatesh Iyer and play 2 overseas bowlers. At the moment I doubt Venky will do much worse with the ball as compared to Romario

30(22) might be better than 52(38) for an English opener, but not for India

@cricketingview @Lostidentity_14 Do you know what was the average 1st innings run rate in last T20 WC ? It’s barely 7.5. In last 3 world cups, the scoring rate has actually fallen in each WC.

So you aren’t talking about a 180-200 score here. The typical score is 140-160 and in that context, Kohli >> Rohit

So scoring in T20 WC is indeed a different ball game as opposed to bilateral T20s
