The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

Elixir v1.20 released! Now officially a gradually typed language: Elixir type checks every single line of code, finding bugs and dead code, without developer overhead (no typing signatures) and extremely low false positives rate. Plus a faster compiler! Links and reports below.

Over the past month, some of you reported Claude Code's quality had slipped. We investigated, and published a post-mortem on the three issues we found.
All are fixed in v2.1.116+ and we’ve reset usage limits for all subscribers.
The BEAM and Elixir are so underrated
The paper "A Universal Modular ACTOR Formalism for Artificial Intelligence" by Carl Hewitt, Peter Bishop and Richard Steiger (https://t.co/iNnH9AzZzm) laid out the entire theoretical foundation for AI systems in 1973. No global state, message-passing actors, fault isolation, parallelism as a first-class citizen, and every data structure just being an actor in disguise.
The BEAM has been running that exact model in production for 40 years. Erlang/OTP wasn't inspired by AI research by accident. It is that research, hardened by telecoms.
Jido takes this further. Every agent is an Actor. Skills, sensors, signals, and state machines compose through message passing. Supervision trees mean agents fail and recover without cascading collapse. You get Hewitt's "society of actors" but fault-tolerant, distributed, and deployable.
Most AI frameworks are built on Python threads and vibes. Jido is built on 50 years of the right theory.
