@gbosslet Dude that happened to my roommate in med school. She needed up in the trauma bay (I took her there because she was tripoding), got epi, and despite being at a quarternary academic center nobody knows what it was.

@jointdocShields And the comments about care being “free” in other places doesn’t mean their systems aren’t flawed. We get patients from Canada and the UK coming and paying out of pocket for nonurgent surgeries all the time that they’d wait months/years for at home.

@SeanMollet @ChadRuffinMD @drzigel @DrDiGiorgio Those systems also aren’t without flaw. Nonurgent visits with specialists, procedures/surgeries take months to years to happen. It’s a common occurrence for folks from Canada, the UK, etc. to come to the U.S. and pay out of pocket for things just bc they won’t wait so long.
