@compound248 I wonder how many of the announced DCs actually end up getting built. Have you seen a statistical ratio of announcements to completions anywhere?
@yiningkarlli@pixarsrenderman I’m pretty psyched for the post where you tell us you’ve path traced your way into visualizing an answer to some question that’s confounded physicists for 130 years.
@BeenThereCap How many positions do you generally have at any given time? If there are multiple companies within a group (say uranium) do you treat that as a single position as you think about the portfolio?
Sachs' Covello estimates that a trillion dollars is being invested in propping up generative AI, yet it doesn't solve a one-trillion-dollar problem. It isn't making money, it costs too much, it doesn't create new jobs and doesn't make workers smarter.

@BeenThereCap I guess that ties in with the loose concept of “name recognition” that I have in my head. It’s the network effect, it’s the thing that everyone is using because everyone is using it. It’s being taken seriously etc.
@BeenThereCap This seems an odd take. It sounded like the increased maintenance was due to an outsized amount of damage compared to the general ev population. I didn’t see where the early battery deaths were discussed but aren’t they warranties for a number of years and miles?
