@serenityposting@InyoEnjoyer@constans Idk most people I know at JS, Cit or Ant etc. take the subway if they live in the city. At best I can save 2-5 min via an uber in the morning and there is way more variance given traffic and it's often slower.
@SaladBarFan@gstvknr@BarneyFlames Idk Iโve found places like big sky have really good lift infrastructure but even vail only has like a single heated lift and Breckenridge doesnโt have any. Ironically getting on the rickety old lifts here is a much more civilized experience than the nicer ones in Europe.
@SaladBarFan@gstvknr@BarneyFlames True, but the lift infrastructure and after ski/town culture is here is kinda embarrassing in comparison especially considering prices. Even upstate lift tickets are pricier than the alps.
@jkbdco@ReubenR80027912 I mean I wonโt claim to be an expert or anything but expecting people to fight the us government on behalf of a foreign billionaire seems like a stretch. Maybe if he was from Appalachia it could work but idk.
@aghtaki@AliceFromQueens All genetic inheritance is still non-deterministic, even things that are extremely correlated (or more correctly strongly dependent) like eye colour. Where you draw the line at something being lucky/unlucky is arbitrary.
@HailApollon@Liberty_Vegan@Cheetoignocnito@justalexoki Reality is not deterministic in any sense of the word even at the most fundamental level (i.e QFT). The only argument here is that if you group "similar" enough events then it can maybe be "practically deterministic" which is still pretty much nonsense.
@BarneyFlames@uttermogcel Why are you still ignoring California and New York in this situation? The machine god is being built by people in blue states, and the only cope is that other places are being used a low cost centres like "but NVIDIA has a tx office".
@BarneyFlames It's a two sided problem as Indian customers (tbh South Asians as a whole) are probably the worst. My sister worked at a shoe store in london during college and some fat Indian aunty got upset that she didn't memorize the entire inventory and had to check the system for sizes.
