I’m not going sugarcoat the risks we are facing right now with the new U.S. tariffs and escalating trade tensions around the world. I have been talking to leaders of other countries, reaching out to executives in our business community, and consulting with economists and trade experts to assess the likely impact and to plan for multiple scenarios.

It's difficult to predict what happens next, but we are preparing here at home with new trade policies, energy reforms, and support for local farmers already in motion.

I am eager for the Commerce Committee to quickly conduct a confirmation hearing on his nomination to lead NASA.
