@AncientBaldGuy@crumbl Hopefully this is more like cookies than "Cookie Crisp" cereal was when it was first introduced in the '70s! So disappointed that I haven't tried it since...
@aliciaandrz Singing 4-part harmony with a group of fabulous women, or practicing on my own to do the same! Or watch some TV with spouse... preferably something amusing.
Today is my 38th sobriety birthday. I was a regular old lush, a walking personality disorder, when some sober women and Gus, the Great Universal Spirit, fished me out of the slough. They’d once been there, too, and found a way out. If you need help, the people here will help you:
@LabMuffin@DrJenGunter@DBelardoMD Those of us who don't digest FODMAPS well wouldn't make it past the first breakfast! Also those of us with oral allergy syndrome because of anything that cross-reacts with ragweed... yikes!
@aliciaandrz Sorry about the wrong order of replies here... I'm being forced to learn about how my own perfectionism holds me back, since I am recovering from a recent head injury! I just want you to know that reading your posts is a bright spot in my day! ☀️
@aliciaandrz I should get the "Thought Patterns" section tattooed on the inside of my left arm... 😂:
"Our beliefs and thought patterns shape our view of the situation we’re in, but they aren't always rooted in reality."
Challenge assumptions and conclusions you jump to without evidence...
@aliciaandrz Shift your focus to what is working rather than what isn't."

(He posts a ton of good stuff on LinkedIn; coaches ADHD clients in the tech startup space, but his posts often look applicable to "humans in a capitalist workplace" situations in general.) 3/3
@aliciaandrz Approach your circumstances with curiosity.
Notice the story you're telling yourself? What underlying beliefs might be coloring your perspective?
Look for alternative, positive explanations that are equally plausible while still acknowledging your reality.
(Whoops, 2/3)
@aliciaandrz I went to your school's younger sibling, UVa. Learning as much as you can while turning into a functioning adult is much easier with lovely profs like you who care about students. I went through undergrad completely undiagnosed and unmedicated and am grateful I survived.
@aliciaandrz I ❤️this. I live in Tucson, AZ and have totally experienced the *scream* followed closely by, oh, hi, Sweetie! My hubs calls every animal Sweetie now. 😂
@michelleurberg1@FromPhDtoLife Yes! Singing 4-part acapella harmony with both a chorus and a quartet is the best for me! 🎶Does really good things for my brain. ❤️
