@buperac Correct. Also certain Biostimulants can put a demand on certain nutrients so if the plant already has a hidden hunger and you put more demand on it, you create more stress and ultimately yield loss. Biostimulants are crazy and they aren’t for everyone.

@NicoleStecklein It’s easy to sight ISU data. What does your data say? First mistake is planting by the calendar and as an agronomist you know this. What Iowa State data does not give you is any gdu data for that corn chart. Soybeans are driven by MegaJoules/m^2. Both matter respectively.

@bandedagllc Didn’t dig any up? Vt was after stripping it? Germination and growth only needs moisture, heat, and no air pockets, so if they aren’t there, one of the 3 is missing, obviously caused by the vt pass. My guess is moisture. Striptill still allows capillary water movement upward.

@TandTAg What was the gdu difference? In my experience with warm soil and warm temps, seed orientation can account for roughly 10-15 gdu difference. More than that and it was water imbibition and/or trench closing issue.

@agronomistag Well when my county is #1 in Iowa and in the top 10 nationally of all ag gross revenue with hog, cattle, chickens, and dairy, and 8 of the other 9 are fruit and vegetable counties in California, local manure source means the entire county. Next county north is #2 in Iowa.
