DEI only existed because white people were racist. They had the opportunity to hire based on merit, and they hired their unqualified white friends every time.
DEI isn’t racism. It’s a solution to historical racism.
Amber Thurman was 28 years old. She loved being a mom to her six-year-old boy.
Her last words to her own mother: "“Promise me you’ll take care of my son.”
Her son will grow up without his mom because of Donald Trump's Dobbs' decision and Georgia's MAGA abortion ban.
If we want the war in Gaza to end, we can’t put our heads in the sand or ignore the voices of the Palestinian Americans in the Democratic Party. If we want peace, if we want real democracy, and if we want to win this election, the Democratic Party must allow a Palestinian American speaker to be heard from the DNC stage tonight.
A Palestinian-American sharing his or her story, calling for cease fire and release of all hostages, and calling everyone to support the ticket against facism would be powerful.
It’s deeply heartbreaking and infuriating that in a DNC convention that is meant to engender hope and uplift voices throughout the party & our nation, that a Palestinian-American is NOT allowed to speak on stage. There is still time to change course. @DNC
COLUMN: The man that has been scapegoated incessantly throughout his career proved once and for all that the Timberwolves can absolutely win an NBA championship with him as a key piece of the puzzle.
It’s time to give Karl-Anthony Towns his flowers.

I’m really excited today for the people who never stopped watching this team.
They maybe didn’t go to a ton of games, but they were always watching. They had other hobbies cared about other things, but they had a Wolves group message that pinged whenever Shabazz Muhammad would get hot. They maybe even just did it on their own, watched alone — late at night with JimPete and on Wolves twitter, after they put the kids down.
For those people, for a while, it was a weird hobby, but it was their hobby. They didn’t care, they weren’t gonna stop watching the Wolves — something about it, no matter how bad the team was, felt like a connection to something they liked before. That was worth holding onto.
I’m excited because now all of those people are in the same space — out there, naming it. And when they walk by each other and you kinda make eye contact, you know you have something in common, you’ve seen some shit. But you’re still here.
And even if you don’t say it, you’re both thinking it: “Naz Reid”

When I describe backlash politics people often confused - it is local Democratic Party mayors having the popularity of a sexually transmitted disease yet no viable progressive thinking Dem will take them on, so afraid to be labeled a "Defunder" or a Palestine supporter, so afraid

With deep remorse for the actions of our country’s federal government, which shows no signs of wavering in its commitment to unconditional military and political support for Israel’s genocide in Palestine, announcing that I will be voting uncommitted on Super Tuesday. (1/2)
