The reason I love $KAS so much is that I KNOW it will recover.
Itβs my highest conviction play.
I can park all my available capital there, knowing that in six months, or six years, it will be worth a lot more.
Itβs hard to say the same for alot of projects.
Kaspa community. Congrats! Almost every single exchange wallet is dwindling at RECORD RATES. Kaspa is flooding out in millions. Keep going! #DrainTheKaspa
@JosefValue@Rewkang@dcarmitage don't think we'll see anymore layer one 100x's
it'll most likely be a memecoin play
that being said, the next $kas is still $kas
KAS is an interesting coin. I know maxis hate it because of claims of being a "competitor" to Bitcoin. There is no second best or even third best.
But I was surprised when I was asked to analyze KAS (and other coins) and found out that tentatively KAS seemed to follow a power law (even if not as perfect as the one in BTC).
I didn't like this because I wanted BTC to be the only power law asset but as a scientist I have to accept reality and data as it is.
So I reported the discovery to the person that asked me to check and then it become a popular notion among KAS investors that KAS was the only other coin besides BTC to follow a power law.
Some people thought that this was actually a weak point for the BTC power law (because they have absolutely no clue what the power law really means) but actually after a while I found it intriguing given the KAS followers educated me in how similar the 2 coins are in particular in mining protocols and other fundamentals.
If there are 2 systems that follow the power law then it is interesting to study the similarities and differences.
Now, it seems that KAS is deviating heavily away from the power law path that it has followed for few years.
As I previously said the power law is so obvious by visual inspection that it would be obvious when it is not followed any longer also by visual inspection (of course one can do more sophisticated analysis too).
I'm trying to understand this because actually it could give us some clues on why an asset follows a power law and when it stops doing so.
I need to dig in more deeply but I was informed by somebody that follows KAS more closely that in September a major change in the mining protocol (something about adding additional fees to the block reward) has been implemented.
It involved higher fees rewards for miners.
This could bring down the cost of production so impacting the power law relationship and price itself.
Notice how the deviation seems to be larger starting in September.
The fact BTC protocol has been stable and consistent for 15 yeas could be a fundamental recipe for a stable power law. It is something that needs to be studied and understood.
With all respect, this post sounds a bit like you are distancing yourself from the Kaspa project.
Is this due to the recent price collapse as the top wallets are clearly dumping KAS?
I imagine it is easy to just say, "I never talk price" but that is a bit of a cop-out since price action is usually a strong indicator of expected project success.
Do you see the recent 50% drop; (65% drop relative to BTC) as an indication of Kaspa failure? Or merely normal volatility for a new technology?
Many thanks for your efforts in creating digital money. I love Kaspa and hope it succeeds.
Itβs time to go back to the early days $KAS roots.
Less talking and building cool stuff.
Remember the future is bright for @KaspaCurrency but letβs not forget what got $KAS to where it is now and what makes it so special.
The Community.
the best asset does not need any t1 listings or kols
