I usually advocate linking Windows 11 with a Microsoft Account post OOBE, because the way OOBE sets up your user directory when you sign-in with an MSA during setup is so stupid. It uses the first 5 letters of your email address, not your first name.

Main downgrades since iOS 17:
- the island no longer "breathes"
- bouncing/springiness is now very exaggerated, perhaps even improperly eased
- the blobs often don't, or incorrectly do the merging "metaball" animation
- odd layering behavior, where the secondary blob is visible on top while the main activity is collapsing
