Any good EU-based frontenders around here? Especially ones with #Drupal experience?

If so, and you want to work on the coolest Drupal projects in Europe, drop me a DM.

@BeFused I hit the module update catch 22 yesterday! This post https://t.co/YHitRI355d was really helpful. A module with outdated dependencies preventing upgrade and so I applied the patches in an issue fork and told Composer to the fork instead (until the module has a new release!).

Up loud for the @IshmaelEnsemble Bristol special block party mix playing out today’s @OfficialHuey show. @BBC6Music

So now the PM, Chancellor and Health Secretary will be self-isolating on their “Freedom day”. I hope they use some of that time for reflection on how letting the delta variant spread uncontrollably will not result in any long-lasting freedom, only damage to health & the economy.

UK: 48,553 confirmed coronavirus cases today. Many thousands of them may not fully recover months after. More infections mean more Long Covid. Let’s make #CountLongCovid trend before 19 July. If you have it, tweet your message with this #️⃣. What do you want to say to the world?

[The Royal Society @royalsociety]

Join Professor Brian Cox next week as he explores the impact of #LongCovid and how we can treat it with a panel of scientists working at the forefront of research into the condition, and campaigners with first-hand experience of its effects. Find out more: https://t.co/KBozIIF4eB

So. @BorisJohnson just said that ‘most people would accept and agree’ with what Dominic Cummings did.
Please answer and retweet.
Do you accept and agree with what Dominic Cummings did?

The public will be forgiven for thinking there is one rule for the Prime Minister’s closest adviser and another for the British people.

The Prime Minister’s actions have undermined confidence in his own public health message at this crucial time.

In an evolutionary sense, I think that Boris Johnson has reached the deuterostomia superphylum stage, in that he clearly has an anus and mouth, but not chordata, because there is no sign of a notachord, let alone a fucking spine.

What I have learned today:
New programmes on the Beeb need to be “invitational” and have an “ongoing narrative”!
Just so you know...
it’s all terribly W1A! 😂

After much ado, I've just released #Drupal 8.8.0-beta1. From an airplane. ✈ Happy testing! https://t.co/RCMOUUPxFf

[Actually, @eaton]

Drupal and other CMSs are great at templated content, but unique, high-variation content like landing pages can be difficult to model and manage. I take a look at four mature approaches to this problem you can use on your next Drupal 8 project: https://t.co/mOIaE1rSSK

This stunning looking dish is one of the new delicious recipes that @Annathegreek has kindly provided for use in #drupal Umami demo. We've also cooked this up in a video for extra yummy content to demo media. Recipe patch reviews at https://t.co/GhRagcTZEI or just try the recipe!

[Keith Jay @keithjay]

@shaal I completely agree @shaal, Media Library in core is a game changer and I'm looking forward to getting the new (delicious) content into Umami to help show folks around!

[Ofer Shaal @shaal]

Media + Media-library in Drupal core is a game changer! I added a screenshot from Umami on Drupal 8.8 to show how nice it is.

btw, @keithjay is working on adding additional media types (ie. remote video) and the results are stunning.

Diffy is such an awesome tool!
It has a special algorithm (which I did not see in other visual regression testers) -
When 1 element causes elements below it to move, Diffy will mark the element that caused the change, and not all the elements affected by it. 🤯
