@cramforce Isn’t that remote model *more* expensive, not less? Last time I did this math (w/ @ballantyne) it seemed that fancy offices were very cheap per employee - on par with tech co $ Xk/yr home office budgets. And that’s before factoring in travel for team meetups & company events

@stevenstrogatz Not a mathematician. I seem to have approached this differently than others. As a software engineer I know average is basically just sum. And the sum of all d chords on one axis must be the area πr². So the average must be πr²/d, or π¼d²/d, or a factor π/4 of diameter.

@DavidIAuerbach @ProfEmilyOster Sorry, I must be misunderstanding you. What fact is CNN ignoring? The fact seems to be that COVID-19 is worse than flu for brain / mental disorders. The article’s headline may be misleading due to omitting base rate, but some of those diseases are +100% more common after COVID-19
