@cindypon You can do it! After your author event in San Diego last year, I encouraged a lot of my teen students to read Want, and it inspired several who had never read for fun before to get interested in reading! All because you were so great at that event. 😊

As for this thread, I find it just as helpful examining and being honest with ourselves when we don’t write and why. Because you don’t need to feel guilty for not writing, but if you don’t write, it’s helpful to ID the cause!

@AppleTV @Dickinson We like to pretend that women in history were perfect, submissive paragons of their society’s culture, but I’ve never bought into that. Considering how different women are from each other nowadays and how much they keep secret, I bet women in the past had just as much going on.

@AppleTV @Dickinson I’m excited for this! It reminds me of A Knight’s Tale, meant to put us in the feel of the character/world in a way we understand, and thus be emotionally historically accurate in the way an “accurate historical portrayal” never could.

I am interviewing my grandparents about their lives to write a family history for future generations right now. Before going over to their house this morning, I still found time to edit my novel. Writing never stops. #amediting #amwriting #writeon
