That said, they are working hard to get it sorted. A bit of a black eye for eSIM, which was supposed to make this sort of thing easy peasy.
Turns out it’s related to how AT&T set up (or didn’t) two-factor authentication for users transferring their account to their new iPhones.
AT&T screwed up the activation process for eSIM for customers transferring from their old iPhones to new iPhone 15. So folks trying to set up their new iPhones have to call AT&T and speak with a rep to complete the transfer. What a mess! Hope they get this fixed soon.
The three national carriers are Verizon, AT&T, and Google Fi? Not quite, but land from Mars, might think that. T-Mobile exiting Best Buy, but Google Fi getting more visibility. Pic taken 9/14 at CA Best Buy, was in new Wave7 prepaid report, but seeing this at Best Buy in KS also.
What's undeniable is that it's a pretty great foldable. Google has hit the ball out of the park on this one. At the same time, they're standing on the shoulders of a giant, as Samsung has steadily iterated this design for several years now.
It's interesting to read the chatter about (lack of) availability of Google's new Pixel Fold. It looks like Google had a limited initial run of its new Fold. I expect they'll milk the "demand is outstripping supply" story for a while.
Free phones at Walmart? Yes, this is a thing, per new Wave7 Research smartphone report. This pic was taken yesterday at a Walmart in Kansas, free Moto G Power from Straight Talk w/activation. Free phones from @MetroByTMobile and free Galaxy A03s from Verizon Prepaid? Yes and yes.
We have been tracking refurbs since the industry's early days over a decade ago. The blog on @kenhyers refurbished report is up. Very curious title "Global Refurbished Smartphone Sales Down – it’s a Supply Issue." Read here: https://t.co/k8L0A8SCqD…

Great post from @Noahpinion Asks very important questions and cites our founding fathers (and founding father of modern conservatism, though not the current post-modern conservatives).
