@MalimAitah@moneyacademyKE During the 2018 World Cup, NTV secured exclusive free-to-air rights for only 32 matches (African teams + some knockouts). Other local stations couldnโt air them. Fans were pissed since half the tournament was missing on NTV. At least KBC pays for all matches.
@Msnyaguthii Are you a parent with a child in school? Real-time monitoring can allow security to spot a fire or an intruder instantly, potentially saving hundreds of lives before a disaster escalates. That's the whole point.
@Nyambuscov_ Let's be honest here. Visible cameras act as a powerful deterrent against bullying, theft, sexual assault, and life-threatening acts of arson. Which is a good thing.
@Karwaay What are you even asking? In the Utumishi Girls tragedy, surveillance footage captured inside the dormitory cubicles was instrumental for the DCI to swiftly identify and arrest the suspects who started the fire.
@mcpipita Keep asking your questions like you are not a parent. Immediate safety of my kids and accountability of the school is more important over privacy concern questions you are asking here.
@Honeyfarsafi This post is a non-issue because the hallway CCTVs directly helped identify and arrest the suspects who killed 16 girls. Security cameras enabled justice after a deadly arson. Privacy debates come second to solving mass murder.
There's no vaccine for the Ebola outbreak in Congo and Uganda right now. The shot that helped end the big 2020 outbreak in this same region doesn't work on this one. It was built for a different strain. Let that sink in.
@kijana_misa Those commenters supporting his actions are the problem. He agreed to the BBC interview, then he requested a male replacement mid-interview. He couldn't handle a woman asking tough questions about his views on gender, manosphere content and misogyny accusations.
