@Netterville@SebMilbank Where in reality leading figures in the Irish Parliamentary party supported anti-colonial forces in the British empire , from John Dillon to Michael Davitt urging the adoption of a joint Indian Irish Home Rule candidate for a Dublin constituency .
@basedwagnerite@BenedictSm55625@lb_southwark You want property and rent prices to be raised by building ugly high rise flats that are not affordable to people who live in the local area then ?
@basedwagnerite@BenedictSm55625@lb_southwark How often extreme free market fundamentalists have no interest in national traditions and want London to resemble anywhere in the world .
@BremenBod Hi Ross , just looked at DM's and saw you had sent a message 3 days ago . Unfortunately I can only see one's been sent and can't read it as they are not loading . If you want you could contact me at [email protected] or [email protected] . Sorry about that .
@SebMilbank@IwanDoherty98 No denial then . Conclusions will be drawn your beliefs based on who you retweet . And the direction of yours is truly vile and evil .
@SebMilbank@IwanDoherty98 You are proposing to force pensioners and the sick from where their families may have lived for generations . Retweeting fascists . Truly warped and shameful .
@SebMilbank@IwanDoherty98 In the meeting with Patick Deneen a few years ago rudely denied the working class existed . Now you want to steal their homes from them . The suspicion something was very morally and politicallly here should not have been denied .
@CtRLiberty Because the rent of those not in work is paid through the state by housing benefit , rents in the private sector elswhere would be higher than for social and affordable levels in London . It's absolutely undesirable to further privatise housing in the capital .
@CtRLiberty Yes , and unlike you haven't changed my beliefs and the name of my account . You want the state to pay higher rents for those you would displace for the sake of your hatred for other humans . As foolish a position as it is wicked .
@michael_merrick@johnpmerrick That he's being inaccurately labelled a longtime neo-liberal and Yimby does not make thinking council tenants should be forced out of London and retweeting anonymous fascists any less disturbing .
@michael_merrick@johnpmerrick No excuses should be made for a evil article which explicitly advocates the displacement of poor people with local ties who a Cambridge graduate deems to be inferior beings .
@AaronBastani Thomas Atwood's grave is in the Worcestershire village well known to P G Wodehouse as his favorite aunt was the vicar wife https://t.co/ZBnsSnqLme https://t.co/knwppAZAGD .
In 1930s Britain, the Liberals, their electoral model broken by universal suffrage and the end of the Acts of Union in 1922 and morally discredited by their extreme form, fascism, fell apart in despair. Some, like Churchill, went into the Tories, but most into Labour. Over time, they took over both parties, a change that became obvious with Thatcher and Blair, who together created a neoliberal-left cartel, also evident in other countries globally.
That cartel is now broken in Britain and as discredited as its 1930s predecessor.
Liberalism, whatever its self deceit, is incompatible with universal suffrage. It is middle-class authoritarianism dressed in false empathy. This time, there'll be no repeat of its last zombie rising. The world has changed and won't change back.
@RegHumber@ChrisHowellFCA@SebMilbank Who introduced " affordable housing " and why ? I'm not paid by any political or property companies , who pays you ?
