OCI Cardholders, unable to download your e-OCI Card?
Can't generate your e-OCI Card because your registered email address is no longer accessible?
Update your email address on the OCI Portal to download your e-OCI card by following the next steps:

1. Visit the OCI Portal at https://t.co/jacOOEL70f and register as a new user using your current email address

2. Log in, click Apply Online, and then select OCI Miscellaneous Services.

3. Access your OCI profile by entering:
• Passport number last linked to your OCI Card
• OCI Card number
• Date of Birth

4. Select 'Email ID Updation' option, upload your OCI Card in PDF format and submit your application.

5. Once your application is approved, your OCI Card details will appear on the dashboard on the home page. Click on the e-OCI Card tab to generate and download your e-OCI Card.

@BOIndiaOfficial @PIBFactCheck @PIBHomeAffairs @MEAIndia @MEABharat Also e-oci dashboard tab only appears who have filed for new oci using the new portal process. It does not appear for my son who got in 2021. May be they will eventually add it. I was also able to submit consent for FTI-TTP.

Give some time and login back after 30 minutes and you will see the download link. It is a pdf file. I was expecting it to be added to apple or google digital wallet like we can add us passport.

The e-OCI (Electronic OCI Card) has been officially launched!

No more carrying your physical OCI booklet everywhere. You can now download your digital e-OCI Card on your mobile phone and present it at Immigration Check Posts and to airlines.

How to Download Your e-OCI Card (For Existing OCI Cardholders)

1️⃣ Log in to the OCI Services Portal: https://t.co/iJeqCUBzXJ using your existing User ID and Password. If you are not already registered, complete the registration process using the e-mail address provided at the time of your OCI application.

2️⃣ Once logged-in, click on the e-OCI tab on the dashboard.

3️⃣ Your application details will now appear. In the last column, click on Generate e-OCI Card.

4️⃣ Your e-OCI Card will be generated and made available for download.

5️⃣ Download and save the e-OCI Card on your mobile phone. You can present the digital version at Immigration Check Posts and to airlines whenever required.

Your existing physical OCI Card remains valid.
Download your e-OCI Card today and enjoy the convenience!

Scientists may have found a cure for type 1 diabetes.

For the first time ever, a man with type 1 diabetes is making his own insulin after receiving a cell transplant that required no immune-suppressing drugs.

Doctors took islet cells – the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas – from a donor. But before they were transplanted, scientists used CRISPR to edit three specific genes. Two of those edits made the cells less visible to the immune system. The third increased production of a protein called CD47, which acts like a biological shield, telling immune cells not to attack.

Then they injected the edited cells into the man’s forearm.

Within weeks, those cells began producing insulin. And 12 weeks later, they still are – with no rejection, no complications, and no immune-suppressing drugs. That’s a major breakthrough. In the past, cell transplants for type 1 diabetes almost always failed without heavy drugs to suppress the immune response. Those drugs come with serious risks: infections, organ damage, even cancer.
