Foundation teacher at an IB PYP school in Melbourne. All about play based learning, inquiry and helping children become inquisitive and passionate learners.
@DanielAndrewsMP I've supported you through these lockdowns but I can't support your stand on IVF. You have literally made the choice for thousands of families and told them they can't have a baby. Your decision means if you can't get pregnant naturally, you WONT be having a baby in 2022. Fact!
@TeachingIdeas A 5 year old child was upset and removed herself from the class. I asked her what was wrong. She told me she went to get a pencil and forgot to get it. And now she's sad.
End of year vibes!
Foundation students just started an Illustration study. We're in the Immersion phase, looking at book and discussing everything we notice. Today in Discovery a child created a sign, transferring what he'd learnt from writing this into play So proud #eypyp#PYPchat@Mattglover123
Help please. I'm looking for ways to keep track of our #play resources at school. I'm thinking a QR code system where the images pop up and you select the items you're borrowing but cant seem to find anything like this. Any suggestions? #pypchat#eypyp
Breaking down the #LearnerProfiles with the #foundation students for #STP#UOI
For caring, one wrote Be on its = Be honest π₯°
During this one child suggested for us to be open-minded and listen to each other's suggestion. Love that we use the PYP language in everyday life #eypyp
@shazbailey1 @kjinquiry @ibpyp It was such an engaging and informative session. This year in Foundation we have had a big focus on ATLs. So having the opportunity to listen to @kjinquiry share ways to take what we are doing even further was just wonderful. Thank you π
The notes you find...
One is a child's reminder to himself to bring Ooshies (toys) for a friend
Another was telling me that I've done a lot π
And the last one I found it in the hallway and I hope whoever it was for finds it.
