I always enjoy getting paired with randoms. This week's was a bit more “real.”
A guy in his thirties had a devastating brain injury which robbed him of his whole 30s. He was a vegetable more or less for 9 years and had to relearn everything.
He mentioned to me that he was losing the love for the game as he couldn’t shoot in the low 80s anymore.
Honestly, not much I could say other than thanking him for sharing his story.
It’s a tough reminder of how lucky I’ve been.
Been deep in the trenches the last two weeks helping local SMBs put AI to work.
There’s a massive opportunity right now for landing MRR by setting up custom Claude/GPT workflows that automate repetitive admin tasks.
Here’s what I’ve closed in just the last week and a half:
🦷 Dental offices → OCR + smart document workflows that digitize charts and claims preprocessing.
🏗️ Construction businesses → AI contract admin that reviews, summarizes, flags risks, and preps emails.
Keep building and learning, opportunities are available in other packages.
@mdancho84 As an individual whose career has been tied to Power BI for the last 10+ years, I 100% agree.
I've been thinking heavily about how to transform my clients' reporting processes into Claude/OpenAI/local LLM platforms.
I look forward to your seminar.
@drakesmith__ Definitely.
Started late, but one of my favourite things to do is joining a group as a single.
So many amazing perspectives and experiences you can learn over 4 hours.
Max entertainment value when watching two buddies in their 60s still shit-talking each other like they’re 18.
Updates:
With Launchlog features being auto-built by my Hermes agents crew over the last 2 weeks, I was able to focus back on more traditional SMB markets.
Playing around with Claude and QuickBooks.
The data isn’t as fun as golf, but I feel like I should be able to sell this as a service.
@engineeringolf Looking really good so far. Super clean, and the attention to detail is exactly as expected from you.
I know it’s tough and would increase data exponentially.
Would love to select a club, select a shaft, and see what numbers you would expect.
In case some of you run into auto-deploy issues from Git to Vercel:
1. Reconnect Git in Vercel.
2. Check there are no branch rules stopping it.
3. Check your vercel.json deployment flag.
4. Ensure both your local and global profiles have the same name and username as your Git account.
Might require you to do all 4.
