I completely missed your comment (didn’t get notification…). I can confirm that @Garmin was very helpful and quick with their response and the replacement watch is on the way. Looking forward to it and hope it will be a different story.
Glad to hear that you’ve had a great experience with one exception. Did the problem go away with the new device?
After one year with @Garmin Fenix 8 watch, I gotta say - great device, absolutely horrible user experience. It couldn’t be much worse.
This is what you get for $1100 purchase:
2x lost runs I had to recover by digging raw .FIT files off the watch with a third-party Android file transfer app, because MacOS can’t read it
Sometimes 40+ min to sync a single run
Battery live is great, but the charging experience is awful - if the port moves it just stops charging
Most mornings I can’t even get a weather snapshot, because it doesn’t auto-sync
The UI in the app is a nightmare, it’s so difficult to find anything
Anyone switched off Garmin or has better experience with a different watch?
When running dynamic workflow in claude code, the agent status shows as idle in @herdrdev . Is there a way around that and show the status as 'working'?
Yesterday, I developed a really deep respect for anyone that has run a marathon. I never understood until I completed a 15 mile run.
15 months ago I wasn’t able to run 2mi without stopping.
I always thought running gets easier as you just get used to it and that super long runs would be comparable to how 7mi run feels when you just started running more consistently.
It’s nothing like that. Past mile 13, not only your body feels miserable, keeping your mind in the right place is even harder… And it just feels endless.
@elijahmuraoka_ Easier to manage multiple sessions. Sidebar with agent activity is helpful. Very easy to manage sessions across the workspaces for an orchestrator agent.
@TedTamas@synopsi I think the reasons could vary more than you assume. The obvious one is probably not even half the market - but that's my guess, I haven't seen any data.
