There are three types of fathers who built Christian civilization: Spiritual, Temporal, and Familial, and they have been broadly usurped (sometimes by their own sin) in that order.
The protestant revolt cast off our Spiritual Fathers, the Catholic priesthood going back to Christ.
The “enlightenment” and subsequent revolutions cast off our Temporal Fathers—monarchs, princes, and other temporal authorities—declaring “the people” sovereign over all.
And now, in what appears to be the final stage, the fathers of individual families have been endlessly usurped in every way imaginable, degrading the basic unity of society itself: the family.
At each stage, those under authority usurped and overthrew at civilizational scale. The revolt against the priesthood prepared the way for the revolt against princes, which prepared the way for the revolt against fathers in the home. Fathers of the Church, fathers of nations, fathers of families: each overthrown in their turn.
Absent true and widespread repentance, one need not be brilliant to know what comes next for a fatherless civilization.
Wives ARE status symbols.
I’m sorry that so many of you can’t handle that truth, but it’s just the way it is.
Men with wives are automatically seen as more trustworthy and stable.
Men with hot, well cared for wives are automatically seen as more affluent and powerful.
A wife is the most powerful status symbol there is because anyone can make payments.
But you succeed in making a woman thrive? You provide what she needs not only physically, but mentally and emotionally too? And it shows because she loves you back and is willing to express that physically?
You’ve won.
A wife is an outward representation, she reflects what few other things can, her husband’s character.
We should not just want to excommunicate and deny the Eucharist to these death-dealing politicians. Their bishops should meet with them and do everything they can to reconcile them to Jesus Christ.
@NetworkChuck I think the goal of acheiving mastery should not be discarded despite whatever the AI hype says.
Many claim AI is a bubble that will burst. If it does those who achieve mastery will have the same advantage they always have. If it does not, they will be able to better wield it.
"Abortion is the Antichrist's demonic parody of the Eucharist. That's why it uses the same holy words, 'This is my body,' with the blasphemously opposite meaning.

Shortly after switching to all-in-one CDs, we have 1st stage GUI setup landed into #ReactOS!
While it's still being polished, you can see it in action. ^^
The most harrowing aspect of feminism is that it turned women, the bearers of life, into child murderers-- the maternal instinct was snuffed out and replaced with a callousness that argues for the right to kill her own child.
This is Satanic.
@briankeepsworth@Catholicizm1@GrapheneOS currently on Pixel and soon on Motorola is the top choice, but sacrifices some convenience especially for US users who's nearly entire family/friend circle often uses iMessage.
Did you know 🇺🇸 U.S. industrial production has been flat for 18 years?
The economy never recovered from 2008.
All of this GDP "growth" is actually just QE money printing and under-reporting the real inflation numbers.
@JoshuaTCharles Unfortunately it seems Catholics (at least that I'm around) use it far more than my Baptist circle of friends at my previous protestant church
@JoshuaTCharles Okay fair point, and I'll have to recant my disagreement. I do agree with this take in context. Probably weird to say if you just met the girl, but if it's any sort of established relationship this is perfectly reasonable. Also 100% agree on the porn/masturbation point for men.
If you wonder how men like Hitler and Franco came to power—it’s moments like these.
When moderate men fail, extreme men rise.
Somewhere in Spain is a young, intense Christian warlord waiting for his moment.
I’m praying for him.
@johnowhitaker@noahlt There's definitely data concerns about different models (like grok build's incident the other week).
My concerns mostly stem from more personal philosophical issues with AI.
It's replacing thinking, which is a critical aspect of humanity. Also diluting valuable content online.
