It's been a few months, but I finally got out and recorded a practice round... and after three holes did a reveal. Follow my disc golf escapades @McChainzDisc

Was privileged to participate this past weekend in the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Bunker Hill. https://t.co/y24zxm8pf1
Lots of photos out there by attendees & news, but included is cool drone shot. A highlight was being selected to represent the landing on the beach!
“So what is an ideology?…[a] modern manifestation of that ancient phenomenon called idolatry, complete with their own stories of sin and redemption.” - David Koyzis @DTKoyzis in Political Visions and Illusions
@derekradney Indeed! Learned HTML in '96 & got college student job of 'webmaster'. Landed first salaried employment in a university IT unit in '98, part of a new team to build web apps. So much excitement about the possibilities and benefits of easier access to information. Salad days!
Five years ago, @holland_tom suggested that someone should find a song to represent each of the 66 Biblical books (sorry Catholics, Orthodox, etc.). The following is what I came up with.
Rules: no bad songs, no church songs, no repeated artists, and nothing too obscure. Read on!
I'm not against most contemporary music. What bothers me is that many churches have forgotten these real theological songs and there's a whole generation coming behind us not learning them. I still contend that we can have the best of both styles.
Give a listen to this @GraceKville sermon, working through the Apostles Creed & Luke 16. At 26:00 mark @Randamir does a beautiful 'Randy thing' & shines light on the true, 7th brother, come from the dead.
It shook me! I sat up straight, eyes watering!

@racheljwelcher @Randamir @GraceKville To this day I'm amazed he took the time to read it and so skillfully cut to the heart of the matter. It shakes me every time I remember it. I learned so much from it.
@racheljwelcher @Randamir @GraceKville I wrote a 25 page paper on some political philosophy. I thought it clever at navigating moral issues. I have it to him to comment. He took the time, and on the last page, wrote in red ink, 'But is it good?' That single comment undid me & sparked a holy zeal in me to better love.
We are watching Schaeffer's 10 part series 'How Then Should We Live? ' in Sunday School at @GraceKville . I first watched it 30 years ago during my freshman year in college.
Still thought provoking.
Today in Presbyterian History: 40th ann of death of Francis Schaeffer; pastor, theologian, philosopher; began studies at Westminster TS, finished at Faith Theo Sem of the new Bible PC. First student to graduate from Faith & 1st pastor ordained in the BPC; later transferred to RPC
Really enjoyed this interview. I read Clouser's Myth 20 years ago & it changed my life. Love his insights re: Xian Fundamentalist 'Encyclopedic' view of scripture, & Greek thought shaping Catholicism & Protestantism & of course, Dooyeweerd.
