It's an absolute travesty that @songtradr has reportedly laid off half of the @Bandcamp staff. Seeing heartbreaking tweets from some of the kindest, most-hardworking, brilliant people in the industry looking for new work. Why destroy such a vibrant community? Total bullshit.
I am not worried that AI will replace journalism because AI cannot do journalism. I am worried that executives will get paid handsomely to play with the latest shiny bauble while real journalists lose their jobs and decent publications wither away.
