@Simone_Biles I agree. The journey is long and rough and to me when asked that question it almost dismisses the work that was put in. I get that ppl are always eager to know those things, but the ultimate question is "How do you feel?" "What motivates you to continue when already at the top?"

Anyone out there that can give me some tips.... I want to work with other developers to build a few ideas that I have but the only thing stopping me is that I'm not willing to share ownership of the apps.

Every time I've collaborated with anyone it gets awkward at the end because people think because they helped with a small section of a project they are 50/50 partners. I'm coming up with the idea, I'm promoting it, I'm investing real money into advertisement and I'm doing the majority of the work.

I do believe in compensating people for their work but what is the best way to collaborate while there's no income coming in? or should I just hire freelancers to help me with these projects and save the headache.

@codingphase I agree with both of those. I stay in Newnan (right around Fayetteville). In South Atlanta you get more bang for the buck. If you are looking to live in something more extravagant, then Norcross, Alpharetta, Sand Springs, Duluth (all North ATL) are a few that come to mind.

Toxic work environments can do tremendous things to hold you back as a software developer.

Just finished a 1:1 call with someone who has over A DECADE of experience as a developer but totally doubts all of their abilities because of toxic jobs and leaders they would work with that would keep them stuck in dead spots.

It was interesting to see someone who is obviously VERY intelligent but totally doubts what they can do because of it. Came up with an actionable plan together and I have a feeling in a few months from now they are going to be KILLING it and getting ready for greener pastures.

Remember, and I GENUINELY believe this, you should work hard at your job but work harder on yourself because A job can tell you what they will pay you but YOU dictate your worth.

STACK OVERFLOW JUST ANNOUNCED THEIR OWN AI!!!

OverflowAI is a tool, that will also have a VS Code plugin. The way this works, if you are on the site and ask a question, it will produce the answer for you while also citing the sources it used to produce the answer.

You can then ask more in the conversational area, even including code, and through Generative AI it can continue building off of the answer.

This is the right move on their part and I am confident a lot of people will be trying it out. Everything releases in August! Great job @StackOverflow. Really great announcement at the @WeAreDevs Conference!

@DThompsonDev Well put Danny! I always tell ppl this. Everyone has their own race to run. What works for one doesn't work for the other. You can't take anyone else's success, but you can MAKE YOUR OWN!

All the things that DO NOT make you a great developer:

- Hating on another person's success
- Gate keeping
- Super expensive laptops/monitors
- Hating on other programming languages or developers that use it
- Letting people know that they aren't cool for not using linux
- Collecting every single framework or library like they are pokemon and you are trying to catch them all

Just support one another so everyone can win!
