Highly recommend it for anyone who appreciates history, great music (U2 and others) and heroes who were normal people who prevailed over a war that should have never happened. Hoping everyone follows this advice. So many important things and rights will be impacted, in a negative way, if this deceptive scheme works. 

“Many of you have seen the dark money ads attacking three Oklahoma Supreme Court Justices who are up for a retention vote in November. These jurists are fair, competent, and impartial. They are certainly not "liberal activist judges" as the dark money / anonymous ads would have you believe. As a courtroom and appellate lawyer for more than 35 years, I strongly recommend voting YES to retain all three Supreme Court Justices, as well as every other judge on the November ballot.

These ads are political hit pieces. They are created by groups who have never practiced law but have spent millions on media buys to advance a political agenda that they won’t publicly disclose. We must maintain an independent judiciary with judges that have unquestioned integrity as opposed to a Supreme Court filled with politically motivated individuals.

So why vote yes beyond the fact that these are good jurists? To protect justice from politics. These three Justices are targeted because they have been in a majority of the justices that stood up against Ryan Walters and for Edmond Public Schools in the "library books" case, upheld the minimum wage ballot initiative to go forward, stood up against efforts to privatize Medicaid, and stopped public school money from going to private parochial schools. If they are defeated and three new justices are appointed by the governor, then Governor Stitt will have appointed seven of the nine Supreme Court Justices and his appointments will achieve generational control over the Court. All of this, and a ton of out of state money, is what's behind this campaign. Finally, there have been four female Oklahoma Supreme Court Justices: One passed away in 1999, and two are now the subjects of this smear campaign. If you are interested in maintaining an independent and balanced judiciary, I urge you to vote YES to retain.”
