product security leader; interested in technology for infrastructure protection, information sharing, emergency response... and lots of other things...
@HenricoCitizen hopefully it will include a class on secure software development (i.e., product security or application security). We talk so much about protecting ops, but we need to learn how to develop securely. Think OWASP SAMM (https://t.co/OpIhRnF3gF)
@chrissanders88 Linguistically imprecise words adds ambiguity to our speech. A lot of feeling words probably fit into this category because it means different thing to different people. However, when analyst use precise language to characterize uncertainty it improves understanding of context.
@robertgraham CON: I’ve had power go out multiple times… and really like having hot water even during a power outage. Even with gas, a tankless water heater does not heat water during a power outage (no pilot… even gas tankless are electric start)
@XylemInc is partnering with @OceanixCity and others for a student innovation challenge. https://t.co/WaVQNQzcHN Last year the students solved water on Mars. Interested to see what happens this year. #letssolvewater
Still pondering this quote: “the [random number generator] peripheral can fail for a variety of reasons, but by far the most common (and exploitable) is that the device has run out of entropy.” https://t.co/eGcaLRK0z9 what about 2nd law of thermo?
@EricTopol Vaccines are designed prevent disease (the getting sick symptoms part), NOT infection. The infection-reduction is just a side effect of body’s enhanced response. Right?
Don't forget to register for our upcoming webinar with partner @generalelectric, "Designing and Building Productive and Secure Industrial Systems," to learn the steps for stronger and more effective #ICS defenses. https://t.co/UuCkHkxC4l
Third (of 3) whitepaper on #icssecurity is out. https://t.co/5guyvggRER First was on architecture, second on threats, this one ties together with a menu of solutions. I was awesome to collaborate with @RobertMLee and @ReverseICS from @DragosInc
The 2nd part of the @generalelectric and @DragosInc whitepaper series by myself, @ReverseICS, and @kgcrowther intended for engineers and operators to understand how learning about cyber threats can promote the “right level” of security in ICS
