التقى معالي السيد بدر بن حمد البوسعيدي، وزير الخارجية، بمعالي أنيتا أناند، وزيرة خارجية كندا، على هامش أعمال الدورة الحادية والثمانين للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، حيث جرى بحث سُبل تعزيز التعاون الثنائي بين البلدين، إلى جانب عدد من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك.

وحضر اللقاء سعادة السفير طلال بن سليمان الرحبي، سفير سلطنة عُمان لدى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.

In recognition of America’s 250th anniversary, the Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center hosted the lecture “George Washington and His World,” featuring Dr. Denver Brunsman, Associate Professor of History at George Washington University.

The event was attended by Counselor Sabra Al Hooti, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman, along with diplomats from various embassies, professors, students, and members of the DMV community. Opening remarks were delivered by Halima Al Balushi, Program Officer at SQCC.

The lecture explored George Washington’s life, leadership, and legacy, followed by an engaging Q&A session with the audience.

ويأتي الاجتماع في سياق المساعي الدولية لمساندة الوكالة وتمكينها من الوفاء بموجب ولايتها الأممية، وتعزيز قدرتها على الاستجابة لاحتياجات اللاجئين الفلسطينيين ومواصلة تقديم خدماتها الأساسية.

وأكّد المشاركون أهمية تضافر الجهود الدولية لتوفير الدعم السياسي والمالي اللازم لاستمرار برامج الوكالة التعليمية والصحية والإغاثية، بما يسهم في تلبية احتياجات اللاجئين الفلسطينيين والتخفيف من معاناتهم وصون كرامتهم الإنسانية.

كما شدّدوا على أن الحفاظ على الدور الإنساني والتنموي لـ«الأونروا» مسؤولية دولية مشتركة، إلى حين التوصل إلى حل عادل لقضية اللاجئين الفلسطينيين وفق قرارات الأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة.

Oman has launched a National Fintech Strategy and digital portal designed to give fintech companies a clearer route into the country’s financial sector.

The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) (@CentralBank_OM) will oversee implementation and coordinate participating institutions, while each regulator retains its existing legal responsibilities.

The Oman Fintech Portal will help entrepreneurs and fintech companies understand market requirements, assess readiness, identify relevant authorities and connect with potential partners.

Ibtisam Ahmed Al Farouji, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Investment Promotion, said the portal’s integration with Invest Oman is intended to give investors a clearer route into the business ecosystem and relevant entities.

The CBO developed the initiative in strategic partnership with Oman’s Financial Services Authority (FSA) (@fsa_oman) and Estidamah, the Ministry of Finance program for fiscal sustainability and financial sector development.

Other participating bodies include the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (@Tejarah_om), the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (@mtcitoman), the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (@tra_oman), the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (@govom_) and Invest Oman (@Investinom).

The strategy forms part of Oman Vision 2040 and the country’s wider effort to strengthen financial innovation, digital infrastructure and access to financial services.

في إنجاز يُضاف إلى سجل الكفاءات الوطنية، اختتمت البعثة العُمانية مشاركتها في التصفيات النهائية لبطولة Certiport Adobe Certified Professional World Championship 2026، التي أُقيمت في مدينة أنهايم بولاية كاليفورنيا الأمريكية، بمشاركة نخبة من المتسابقين من مختلف دول العالم، في واحدة من أبرز البطولات العالمية المتخصصة في مهارات التصميم والإبداع باستخدام تطبيقات Adobe.

اتقدم اليكم بشكوى ضد الطيران السعودي ، تم فقد احد حقائب السفر خلال رحلتي من مسقط إلى واشنطن بتاريخ ١٩ يونيو ٢٠٢٦ ولم أتلقى اي رد او توضيح عن مكان الحقيبة ، قدمت عدة بلاغات عبر كافة القنوات ولكن للأسف حتى هذه الساعة لم يتم الرد علي بشكل واضح

The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman signed a Statement of Cooperation with the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission (America250), marking a new chapter of collaboration ahead of the United States' 250th anniversary in 2026.

Signed by H.E. Ambassador Talal Al Rahbi and Chair Rosie Rios, the agreement promotes cultural exchange and people-to-people engagement between the Sultanate of Oman and the United States.
