What an evening!
A privilege to be asked to speak at @MDUK_News’ Celebrity Sports Quiz in front of sporting legends, and a room full of incredibly generous people raising over £88,000 for our fantastic charity.
A real fear of mine conquered, and valuable awareness raised 🧡

Stamford Bridge emptying out after 60 minutes in a Champions League tie tells you all you need to know about the Clearlake era at our club. A scathing scenario for Chelsea’s owners.
Lost for words, truly I am. This ownership ripped the soul out of this football club we all love. They actively do things the fanbase goes against, they don’t care. Every single Chelsea fan deserves better than this. We really do
Life costs a lot more when you're disabled, working or not. That's why disability benefits exist.
Thank you to everyone in the muscle wasting community who signed @scope's petition urging the UK Government not to cut vital benefits.
Together, we are stronger.
Today's welfare proposals include around a million disabled people losing up to £6,000 a year.
That's people who need help to eat, wash or manage their toilet needs.
It's immoral and totally unnecessary.
We should be taxing the super-rich, not punishing the vulnerable.
We're jumping on the Oscars bandwagon with a message that truly deserves the spotlight...
Make spaces accessible - so everyone can access and enjoy them.

@TMaunders@kissalts_@wembleystadium And with that in mind, you should be able to select a seat / ticket based on your access need.
The technology is there for a system like this. The O2 arena and a huge number of theatres in London use it and its works very well. Wembley doesn’t, and hasn’t improved for years
@TMaunders@kissalts_@wembleystadium You’re completely right, but everyone with a nimbus access card will need some kind of access, whether thats a wheelchair accessible seat, an ambulant access seat, the need of sign language interpreters or whatever else the access need is.
@kissalts_@wembleystadium All venues should be using the nimbus access card for the vast majority of wheelchair accessible ticket booking - especially in this day and age 😅
@burnett_cr@wembleystadium@oasis Yep - they need to work like the o2 arena, or many theatre venues with the Nimbus access card.
A phone line simply isn’t fit for purpose
Imagine calling the @wembleystadium disabled access number over 400 times for @oasis tickets, to not be placed in any sort of queue & keep getting an engaged line?
Something needs to change. Disabled people should be able to book tickets for a gig online like any other person.
@kissalts_@wembleystadium Yeah we’ve got that too. A shambles! It can’t be had to have an online booking system for wheelchair accessible tickets (like everyone else) where you can see where you are in the queue and have an equal opportunity. So frustrating!
@burnett_cr@wembleystadium@oasis I’m pleased you got through and were able to get tickets, but this has not been the case for the vast majority of disabled people.
It’s not the length taken that’s frustrating, it’s the need to call up a line that is engaged whilst able-bodied people can buy tickets online 🤷🏼♀️
