@JohnZinn4 @UArizonaPolice Agreed. Kids in dorms in tears and watching a body bag leave the volleyball court, and not a peep from their RA or UA police is hard to digest. How is “murder suspect at large on college campus” instead communicated to all of us as “all clear no further updates”
Someone was murdered outside a dorm, and an “all clear” was issued because you lost the shooter? This is uncomfortable to sit with as a parent when our kids / their friends in the dorms not only witnessed it but then had zero official guidance after. Redefining ‘all clear’ might be the first step.
If this isn’t the truth. We have a Tuesday- Thursday in the office goal but is it hard to get folks to come in. Can’t imagine the supplements for Q3 that are going to print this week for the office reits. Another tough quarter, analysts calls are coming in with more regularity, I think everyone went from scrambling 12 months ago to now it’s just in free fall and analysts are taking the vacancy tumble dead serious, and the bots not buying office reits sure put blood on the wall. Save what you’ve got, do what you can to get leases signed, curious what it takes to save some of these portfolios- bargain basement dispo time here in a sec to get the vacancies off the books
My hot take is people don’t mind offices, they hate commuting though
If everyone was able to live a comfortable life within a 15min walk/train/drive to their office they would probably go in more
But this is reserved for the upper management and leadership that can afford to live near work
The Washington Mystics moved tonight's game against Caitlin Clark to the nearby NBA arena and ended up setting a new all-time WNBA attendance record.
It's impossible to overstate what Caitlin Clark has done for the WNBA.
Simply incredible.
@Cobylefko I’m here for it. Our unwavering 50-year commitment to brutalism by way of tilt up concrete sure left our cities just meh. At this point I’ll take anything with a little character
@Matt6942011@TripleNetInvest Curious if the assets are sold to a different class REIT investor for redevelopment - this is going to be a weird few years to see if office can hang on after the last boom of acquisitions at 3-4 caps :/
I miss 2000s tech. also realizing how many years it’s been since that generation of startups. There was a purity to it, companies like @getlaunchrock took off bc it just solved the most ground level issues. Love to see that energy come back again - build for the people not the multiple
Time to break your brain.
Company X went from 0 to $500 million in revenue in 6 years.
The kicker: not technology. not saas.
Guess the company (without cheating).
With two different functions that are required for the ideal outcome, has anyone split their services and software to get over this hump? I should have reached out to some of you guys two years ago but bootstrapping this has been a 10/10 for our roadmap being, well, *ours*
We’re year four into building what we initially envisioned to be a SAAS solution but every time we try to remove the human components the quality of the end product takes a beating. Scalable but not in its current form. We have something very, very unique and first to market solving a complex issue - but…. Scalability when it’s dependent on humans to complete the task is, well…. Not ideal.
