Under no context would a sane person deem looking/leering/gawking whatever you want to call it a crime that ultimately leads to state action. What would you want to see happen to serial starers then, if you had their fate in your hands?

My original point stands that under no context or circumstance, ever, can staring be considered sexual harassment in any sane person's mind. Even if the person being looked at considers it a "leer", which means nothing.

Personal interpretations of social cues or facial expressions etc are so far from the original topic.

This is why such nonsensical laws can't and shouldn't be applied in practise, and only serve to discourage normal human interaction. It's not a state issue.

People who might otherwise have met a potential friend or had an interesting conversation with a stranger will see that poster and with all good intentions not interact with anyone else. That's not good for society.

Interpreting looking at somebody as sexual harassment is not a good interpretation of that law, not to mention would thankfully never hold up in court. It's the threatening tone I dislike.

@olivermdixon @LBC Going along with this is undoing the fabric of our society. If we accept "I'm X or Y because I say so and you're a bad person if you don't agree" then words and definitions lose all meaning. I'm not religious, from an evolutionary perspective none of this makes sense.

@joshefc90 @outremer1099 @TheFreds Also look into jury nullification, is it in fact the people that SHOULD judge not only the person on trial but the law itself. That's how it used to be and still technically is, but people are encouraged to fall in line and think all man-made laws are absolute.

When lawmakers are not in tune with the public there is a problem. I don't understand what point you're trying to make. Corrupt policymakers make corrupt/unjust laws
