We went to Vietnam this May and were on a similar speedboat in Phu Quoc. Even during summer, the sea was quite rough - look at the video, and the boatman told us that the tides and waves become much stronger and more dangerous during the monsoon season from June to October.

It is scary to watch today's news from Phu Quoc, where a boat capsized and 15 Indians reportedly lost their lives. My thoughts are with the victims and their families.
