Well, this is awkward…
@cindymccain, we met with your COO, @CarlSkau, in Jerusalem and had several meetings with WFP Country Director Antoine Renard, as well as your Tel Aviv staff. We’ve also reached out to you and your team via email; in fact, we sent you an email yesterday.
We’re not sure why your team isn’t informing you of this, but we’re eager to help @WFP get aid in.
Let’s set up a meeting immediately. We’ll come to you.
@MikeCosper With you on Eddy and Dimebag, however after seeing Metallica live recently I was amazed at how good James Hetfield is. To casually wander on stage after a quick cigar break, hold it down while singing…
@MattWalshBlog I’m in brand and product design but I love doing plumbing. If I went back and ‘did it again’ I’d start a plumbing company without hesitation.
"You've made your point now, Janet. Why do you keep posting about getting 'cancelled' for saying biological sex matters? Can't you talk about something else?"
No. I’m not going to stop talking about it.
Because my life and business have been turned upside down for stating a scientific fact. People need to understand this is still happening - because of the ideologies they’re supporting.
Because my inbox is full of messages from women (and men) who say they agree with me but feel they can’t speak up - they’re afraid of losing their jobs, clients, friends, or even their families.
Because once you’ve been cancelled and called a bigot, transphobe, Nazi, alt-right, or even compared to Hitler - for stating biological reality - you can’t undo that. Unless, of course, you apologise for something you know wasn’t wrong.
Because people are publicly calling for women like me - women whose beliefs are protected by law - to be hanged, urinated on, defecated on or set on fire.
Because organisations are proudly stating they’ll ignore rulings from the Supreme Court. And men are openly declaring they’ll enter any female space they choose, including toilets and changing rooms.
Because celebrities are signing petitions and open letters that throw women under the bus.
Because far too many women are throwing women like me under the bus - either because they don’t understand the issues or because they’d rather look the other way.
Because I’m a 50-year-old former journalist with decades of experience, skills, and resilience. And even for me, this has been brutal. I dread to think what it would be like for a younger woman - or someone with fewer resources to cope.
Because I have the support of good friends, family and colleagues - and I know not everyone is that fortunate.
Because I believe in free speech. I don’t want to live in a world where stating a lawful, evidence-based opinion leads to this level of abuse and professional ruin.
Because this movement is about silencing women - and I refuse to be silenced.
Is that enough reasons for you?
@HandalaPali@marcorubio As a green card holder (I went through the entire process to become a US Citizen) you sign agreements to adhere to US laws. Breaking them means the government have every right to remove your green card status, deport you, and bar you from re-entry.
