My time @sholingfc has come to an end. I would like to thank all of the staff, players (past&present) & volunteers that I’ve had the pleasure of working with at the club throughout my time there and I wish Paul, his staff, the lads and the club the very best for the 24/25 season.
What an invaluable servant to non-league football you’ve been Diapes. Seeing first hand your dedication to Sholing has been a privilege & I’m honoured to have played a small part in working for you during your time. All the best in your new position. One hell of a journey…👏🏼
CLUB STATEMENT - Dave Diaper
"As I prepare to embark on a new chapter in my football journey I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the incredible journey we’ve shared over the last 25 years.
It has been an honour and privilege to manage this club and the countless players across the years and I really appreciate the support you’ve all shown me throughout my tenure.
I have had the pleasure of witnessing the growth and success of this club, sharing way more ups than downs with both players and supporters and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Together we’ve been through over 1200 games and the Sholing family’s unwavering dedication has been the driving force behind our accomplishments.
My last game will be October 21st then I am stepping into my new role of Head of Football Operations at Sholing and I’m delighted to announce that I am appointing Paul Doswell as our new first team manager. I’ve personally known Paul for over 30 years and watched him manage at the highest level of non league football and we are excited to welcome Paul to the club.
Whilst this may mark a change in my role, it’s by no means a goodbye. I remain deeply invested in the continued success and growth of this club and I’m really looking forward to working with Paul and creating a new and exciting next chapter in the club's history.
On a final note it would be remiss of me not to thank my wonderful family who have shown unwavering support in this 25 year journey. My wife Helen, daughter Claire and Marc have been a massive part of my journey and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you for your faith in me and your passion for our club. The Sholing family will forever hold a special place in my heart and I look forward to continuing our journey and seeing what the future holds for us all."

Have been dealing with A LOT of ACL rehabs over the past 6 months. The majority of these pro athletes:
1 thing has stood out to me more than anything:
We have a long way to go.
Let me show you what I mean…
Since starting my journey in sport there’s always been the goal of working at my hometown club/ground. Disappointing result last night after a phenomenal season from the lads but an incredible feeling to be at St Mary’s. 22/23 ✅
Doesn’t get much better than that. Coming back midway through the season to help the club where it all started for me makes days like yesterday special. What a group of players, staff & volunteers. Promotion for @sholingfc. There’s some talent in this group for sure, up we go!❤️
