How i wish the Intelligence security organs & Investigations depts, have technology that can do cell tower dump or location analysis. This can help identify phones that were connected to towers near the crime scene.
Hi friends. I am well now and safely back home. Immigration officers in Amsterdam looked at me and thought I can’t have a genuine passport. They hadn’t even opened it. Held me back for so long apparently “verifying” my passport that I missed my flight. When I told them to check the passport because it has stamps and visas, they said those can be forged too. I have passed through Schiphol airport over 10 times if they had cared to look at the passport and checked my name in the system whatever doubts they had would have been cleared without undue delay and anguish. Anyway, they finished “verifying” long after the plane had left said I should be grateful they are getting me another “free flight” like they had found me stranded without a flight back home. When the “free flight” they got me was 24 hours later, they told me to either wait at the airport or figure out where to spend the next 24 hours. No explanation. No remorse. No apology. I don’t know if it was the anger or anxiety that made it very difficult to breathe or even utter a word and caused me a breakdown.. but it is very unfortunate that in 2026 there are people that still simply look at others and assume they are fraudsters or something. Luckily, good friends came to my rescue and also redeemed the reputation of the Dutch just a bit.. thanks @klup and Marnix🙏 we have already filed a complaint and raised the issue in many fora. I hope that at the very least they never racially profile any other person like that again.

I worked with @SueNsibirwa btn 2011-2019 as her supervisor when she headed our marketing function. Not once was she ever apprehended as a suspect in or charged with a criminal offense. In fact, she left two years before me with her record of high integrity & stellar performance. I am certain that her current employer would have done a due diligence before entrusting her with her present role. If what is being said about her now were true it would have come out long ago from more credible sources.
About 16 yrs ago when I held a transition role in the energy sector under a World Bank funded hydro project at Bujagali, we engaged MPs. One MP, an OB now in the eye of a storm approached me.He said the engagements are ok.But without 2.5 Bn/= for them, briefings are meaningless!
First, it was Richard Byarugaba, the former NSSF MD. He didn't want to retire from the Fund. And now, its Alhaj Ibrahim Lubega Kaddunabbi of IRA, Who finds it inappropriate for his contract not to be renowned. Having been at the helm of IRA, for the last 16 years.
Today had a productive call with @Dr_JeanKaseya Head of @AfricaCDC , and he agreed to correct the errors in their reporting on Ebola cases in Uganda. He also informed me that a regional center on pandemics response will be established in Uganda. Happy to learn Africa is taking lead in the fight against #Ebola
A Message of Profound Gratitude to H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni!
Your Excellency, President of the Republic of Uganda, General (Rtd) Yoweri Kaguta Museveni,
I receive with profound humility, immense gratitude, and an unwavering sense of patriotic duty Your Excellency’s gracious appointment of my person as Minister in the Office of the President in Charge of Science, Technology and Innovation.
This singular honour is not merely an elevation to public office; it is a solemn national trust, a call to stewardship, and a compelling mandate to contribute to Uganda’s scientific renaissance under your visionary leadership. I am deeply grateful for the confidence you have reposed in me and for the opportunity to serve our beloved nation at a defining moment in its transformation journey.
Your Excellency’s enduring commitment to science, technology, innovation, and knowledge-driven development has fundamentally reshaped Uganda’s development trajectory. Long before technological advancement became a global imperative, you recognized its strategic significance as a catalyst for national sovereignty, industrialization, wealth creation, and socio-economic transformation. Your foresight has inspired a generation of innovators, researchers, engineers, entrepreneurs, and young Ugandans to believe that the future can indeed be designed, engineered, and built by Ugandans themselves.
As I assume this responsibility, I do so with a clear appreciation of the magnitude of the task before us. The future of nations will increasingly be determined by their capacity to generate knowledge, harness emerging technologies, accelerate innovation ecosystems, strengthen research and development, and translate scientific discoveries into tangible solutions for their people. Uganda must not merely participate in this future; Uganda must help shape it.
I therefore pledge my utmost dedication to advancing Your Excellency’s vision of a scientifically empowered, technologically competitive, innovation-driven, and industrialized Uganda. I am committed to fostering stronger linkages between research institutions, academia, industry, government, and the private sector; promoting indigenous innovation; supporting transformative technologies; and ensuring that scientific advancement becomes an instrument of inclusive prosperity and national progress.
I also extend my sincere appreciation to the Government of Uganda, colleagues, mentors, scientists, innovators, engineers, development partners, and all Ugandans whose collective efforts continue to strengthen our national innovation ecosystem. This appointment is a reminder that leadership is most meaningful when it is exercised in service of others and in pursuit of a purpose greater than oneself.
To the young people of Uganda, this moment is a testament to the limitless possibilities that emerge when talent, discipline, knowledge, innovation, and patriotism converge. Let us continue to dream boldly, innovate fearlessly, and work tirelessly for the advancement of our nation.
Your Excellency, I am profoundly honoured by your trust. May God grant me the wisdom to lead, the courage to innovate, the discipline to serve, and the resolve to contribute meaningfully to the realization of Uganda’s transformation agenda.
For God and My Country.
