The democrats have figured out you can just vote to steal from your neighbor if you outnumber them.
They haven’t clued in that this is what makes the third world the third world. Nothing ever gets built because it always gets stolen
@dontcallitsweet@itsJohnRocker We don’t use those symbols in English. And yet here we are. Imagine if Japan demanded we call them Nihon or China demanded we them Zhōngguó
@rustyrockets They’re creating the conditions for slums. Then they’ll use the slums they created as an excuse to seize the property.
Once seized they’ll turn them into government section 8 slums
@ChristinaPushaw They’re having their moment give them time. This was like when the Bush/Romney Republicans realized their party was no longer their party.
Soon it’ll just be socialists vs maga fighting it out. There will be no more moderates
@thatsKAIZEN Go do some research on why LA housing is the way it is currently. Sprawling miles in every direction and increasing in price.
It’s not enough to build housing it needs to be intelligent. Need to build up not just out
The history of Los Angelas housing is ridiculous
@mtaibbi You’re almost there, Matt.
The entire reason different countries exist is we disagree on how society should function.
Cramming every type of person into the same space has never worked. It will never work. Your world view will lead us off a cliff.
@AndrewYang Always fun when you’ve commented on too many Democrat posts and you start seeing Andrew Yang posts on the time line.
Elon seems to agree with your universal basic income idea. Probably best to have tight borders for that one since it’ll be a beacon for every freeloader on earth
@Polymarket Fascinating.
> can’t raise rent
> can no longer afford repairs to unit
> becomes slum due to disrepair
> blame landlord
> it’s actually governments fault
> demand more government
Huh?
@wisconsin_now It’s not surprising when team blue keeps promises them false hope that if they just keep going all in on socialism they’ll eventually have it all.
None of it’s true of course, but it’s a hell of a better message than more bombs in the Middle East
@wisconsin_now The path to becoming Republican has always been ownership. Homes, cars, a life, having children. To protect that
Republicans are just as much to blame for young people not being able to afford a life.
That’s why this generation hasn’t transitioned like the previous ones
@AutismCapital I’m not entirely sure why but a lot of conservatives do this song and dance. They pretend like giving up ground is strategy.
You don’t win by losing brothers. You win by winning.
I think a lot of people still consider 184k a year a lot when it’s not.
184 thousand has the same buying power as 73k in 1990
This would effectively be the same as raising taxes on the middle class by 14%
Was just saying to someone on a call that people are myopically focusing on solvency as if this is a mere accounting exercise while ignoring the macroeconomic effects of various options.
A 12.4% rate increase on income above $184.5k would damage the US economy severely.
Sorry folks that’s not how the law works. With over a 2/3 majority in both chambers the president can be overridden. He can not sign it, and in 10 days it becomes law anyway if congress is in session.
Not a fan of the bill either but his hands are tied on this one
Thank God for President Trump.
I still can’t wrap my head around so many Republicans falling in line with Elizabeth Warren to push Obama era policies. Mind blowing
