I see that Stella Creasy is accusing me of leading a pitchfork mob against her, because I opined that she is less likeable and more hypocritical than the wild parakeet she mistook for an escaped pet.
For those who don’t know, Creasy is an elected politician and self-proclaimed ‘old-fashioned feminist’ who is ‘still fighting the patriarchy’. She’s more than once publicly defined herself against me (and my reaction was not to accuse her of leading a mob, even though I was probably averaging a dozen death threats a day at the point when the article below appeared.)
I thought it might be instructive for those of us who don’t share Creasy’s brand of ‘feminism’ to examine her campaigning record, so we can learn to do better.
Creasy wants women admitted to the male-only, exclusive, London-based private members Garrick Club, a change that would benefit rather privileged women like Creasy. Creasy is a mother who wants better accommodations for working mothers, a change that would benefit Creasy. Creasy takes selfies at a men-only Muslim march because that reminds everyone how non-racist she is, which benefits Creasy. Creasy asserts that ‘trans women are women’, which keeps her in good odour with her party’s most aggressive activists, and benefits Creasy.
However, keeping cross-dressing heterosexual men out of nurses’ changing rooms doesn’t benefit Creasy, because Creasy has never had to mop up other people’s piss, blood and vomit at work. Challenging the notion that a male basketball player becomes a girl if he says he is doesn’t benefit Creasy, who has no sporting ambitions. Speaking up against the patriarchy as practised by non-white men doesn’t benefit Creasy, who wants those selfie-opportunities. Criticising an ideological movement that persecutes, harasses and openly threatens women who don’t believe some women have penises wouldn't benefit Creasy, because she's already fully-signed up to self-id, where any man who says he's a woman must be taken at his word.
As the late Gloria Steinem said: ‘“Feminism has never been about getting a job for one woman. It's about making life more fair for women everywhere.’
Creasy the patriarchy-challenger is provably more than happy to cosy up to men and misogynist movements when it suits her public profile and career advancement, no matter the harms those men might be causing less privileged women. By Steinem’s definition, what Stella espouses is not feminism, but Creasyism, and I suggest the emblem for this brave new rights movement should be an indignant parakeet with severely ruffled feathers.

@afneil Agree completely, absolute hypocrisy as suddenly they have found a voice if only they were quite as loud in looking for justice for the victims of the rape gangs in this county .
Please send your love and support to 16 year old Skye Stout from Scotland, and don't let the ignorant bullies win. Yesterday, the official page of the Scottish club Kilmarnock women's team announced that the club had signed a contract with 16-year-old midfielder Skye Stout. A grassroots player signing her first pro contract, should have been a moment to cherish for her, however Skye was forced to endure ridicule from ignorant and disrespectful fans who began to humiliate her over her facial acne.
Things escalated to the point where the club decided to delete all posts mentioning Skye Stout in an effort to stop the bullying from haters.
I would encourage anyone who has followed my work over the past 15 years to listen to Jades story told to @triggerpod . It’s true. It’s harrowing. And in my opinion it’s disgusting that a child whose life had been destroyed by daily rapes and abuse by gangs of men still found herself classed as a ‘paedophile’ just 2 weeks after her 16th birthday, even though the authorities tasked with protecting her had turned a blind eye to her abuse for two years previously….!!! After all it’s much easier to prosecute one child (yes a child! Up to age 18 in law!!!) than a sophisticated gang of prolific abusers!!!
Jade has found her voice now, but the trauma she still feels is clear for all to see - as a result not only of the abuse itself, but because social services, the police, the courts all abandoned her in her hour of need and instead criminalised her and sent her to prison!
When jade first watched @BBC drama ‘Three Girls’ she came to @TMOFCharity The Maggie Oliver Foundation for our help. I met her at Euston train station with her mum - and she was so overcome with emotion and pain that she was physically shaking like a leaf, traumatised beyond words and carrying immense guilt and shame because of having been labelled a ‘child abuser’ and been to prison and called ‘a nonce’.
Two and a half years later after having been supported for many months through our emotional support service and speaking every week to one of our fully trained ambssadors, and supported by our Advocacy team, she now knows the shame is not hers! It is for those who should have PROTECTED HER to feel. They failed miserably in that duty.
So we put her forward and then held her hand as she told some of her story to Anna Hall in the recent @Channel4 documentary ‘Groomed: A National Scandal’.
This is her full story for the first time. We are fighting alongside her still to clear her name, & she was one of the survivors we took to meet @Casey_Review Baroness Casey whose story is reflected in the national audit.
But jade is proud that she is speaking out. And helping others who have held their heads in unjustified shame.
And I truly, 100% believe that EVERY survivor can begin the road to recovery with the help of people who care, who believe in them, who repeatedly tell them that they have done ‘NOTHING WRONG’!!!!!
The scandal is that this help is not available from the state. Jade has been waiting SEVEN YEARS for therapy. She has STILL not accessed any. She had to come to our small charity to help her begin to live her life, to feel supported, to begin to heal, to find her voice and to use it. And it’s a joy to watch her as she starts to see that the future can be good, and that she is not alone!
And we at The Maggie Oliver Foundation are proud that we have been able to help her on this journey, and that she is now one of our TMOF family and has support all around her as she takes her battle to the next level…..
One incredible young woman
The epitome of #PainintoPower 💕💕💕

I would like to respond to @MayorofGM Andy Burnham’s statement below following the @Channel4 documentary Groomed: A National Scandal which aired on Wednesday.
Firstly, even though you are still trying to make more ‘political capital’ out of Victoria’s death at the hands of one of her abuser’s, and the fact that you tried to demonstrate just how much you supported Victoria’s grandma and would get justice for her by a new inquest in 2020. Over 5 YEARS LATER this has STILL not happened.
Furthermore, you and your team and ACC Sarah Jackson of @gmpolice said when challenged that there was ‘wrap around care’ for grandma Joan Agoglia, now in her 80s and very frail and almost totally blind, I subsequently received a phone call asking ME for her address and phone number! If she had ‘wrap around care’, how could that happen if 5 years later you still didn’t know her address or phone number. That’s the question. I visit Joan, and she hasn’t a clue what’s happening. It seems to me you are just waiting for Joan to pass away and then this inquest will never happen. It was a total cover up the first time and I see nothing to reassure me this is any different.
Secondly, HMICFRS were brought in last year because the original review team resigned because they were being blocked from every angle from talking to victims who had not only been failed in the original enquiries in 2005 and 2011/12, but as the documentary showed are being failed yet again by Op Greenjacket. 6 YEARS they have being left dangling, and we have STILL not seen anyone charged, and survivors who were totally willing to cooperate are further traumatised and some have been ‘dropped’ yet again! As was I after one hostile meeting with the SIO. And I am a professional witness to what happened in relation to the police officers identified by Steph!! Shocking!
The original review team knew exactly which dark corners to look in as they had spent 6 YEARS analysing the HOLMES System exposing Rochdale and Augusta failures, and itmis totally scandalous that they haven’t been included in this new ‘enquiry’ which I believe will be another whitewash as was the @IICSAVSCP into ‘organised networks’, ie Grooming gangs! This isn’t the ‘Duty of Candour’ you frequently talk about Andy. It’s political manoeuvring,
I’ve seen it all over the past 13 years and political point scoring will not solve this national scandal. Criminal and private prosecutions for those in high places who deliberately turned away is the only way to bring systemic change in my opinion. So that those in office today will never again fail to protect children they KNOW are being raped because they see them as worthless, and also don’t want to rock the ‘multi cultural boat’ nor invest ‘resources’ into these cases.
Criminal, inhumane, neglectful and quite honestly WRONG!
Please support our #TheyKnew campaign and donate, however little, so we can hold those at the top legally to account. It’s the only way. And it has to be a private prosecution because the @CPSUK will never prosecute those who they’d rather protect I’m afraid. It’s the junior officers at the bottom of the chain who will be occasional scalps, and it’s not their fault!!
Action not words and empty promises is what is needed. And posts like yours here are now seen right through by the public who have seen through the propaganda and are demanding action. And it won’t go away this time I’m afraid Andy.
Acknowledging more needs to be done just isn’t enough. You are Police and Crime Commissioner and it is your DUTY to ensure it is!
@afneil A complete and utter betrayal of these girls . They still haven’t learnt the lesson there is a large silent majority of voters who will be sickened and angered by this and will show it at the next election .
'What would you like to see happen right now in the wake of Elon Musk saying this government is not doing what it should?' - @susannareid100
Maggie Oliver says she would like to see 'real action instead of more empty promises and words.'
It’s arise Sir Gareth Southgate and Sir Sadiq Khan but not a knighthood in sight for Kevin Sinfield? If evidence was needed to illustrate the abuse of the ‘Honours’ system this is it! Recognition of wonderful works and deeds is all well and good, but this is absolutely farcical.
so long Johnnie Walker, all across the years ..a defender and gatekeeper of great musical taste .. a cool, kind man who kept the bar high for all of us who loved him ….
Short Films are required to be under 20 minutes or in some cases under 15 minutes
This film is 3 minutes 53 seconds & still won the Oscar
If you don’t watch this film you’re doing yourself an injustice
If you don’t spread this film you’re doing everyone else an injustice
@TiggyWalker @piratejw @WhisperingBob@BBCRadio2 The end of an era , I’ve listened to Johnnie since the days of Radio Caroline , love his voice , his music and his stories . Best wishes to you both . It’s been a terrific journey .❤️
