The Iran Games

Now you see the basic game Iran and their proxies play — first they attack a ship with drones or rockets. Then you respond. Then they claim you broke the agreements and are the aggressor. Now they pile on attacks and claim they are just responding to your wanton aggression. If things go badly they then just demand a ceasefire. The media has been letting Hamas and Hezbollah get away with this routine for years but it’s not working as well for Iran this time.

And they were also pretending that rogue elements were responsible but it’s clear now with the Bahrain attacks and the bellicose statements that if there was a split, the people in charge now have no willingness to give up control of the Strait of Hormuz unless forced to do so.

We even let their military meet with ours (which invariably gives them info). It’s clear the regime has no intention of letting go of Lebanon, the Strait, their missiles and ultimately they have agreed only to talk about nuclear capabilities, which we have destroyed for now anyway.

At this point the MOU is nothing but Swiss cheese.

I am a lifelong Democrat who served in the National Security Council, the State Department, and the US Senate. I ran for US Congress in Missouri two decades ago.

When I first read this post, I assumed it was from a spoof account. I am deeply concerned that it appears to be all too real.

To welcome these nominees without acknowledging and criticizing their self-declared sympathies for U.S.-designated terrorist organizations, their calls to abolish the police, their stated desire to dismantle Western civilization, and their blatant anti-Americanism is to sacrifice the core principles of the Democratic Party.

If your first step out of the gate is capitulation, you will only facilitate the takeover of the Democratic Party by bigoted, anti-American, DSA extremists.

I encourage you to study what happened to the Mensheviks a century ago. If you do not take a stand on principle now, you may not have the opportunity to do so later.
